This will help you tune your gtr. Tuners have 3 lights 2 red and 1 green. Green is in the middle of the 2 lights. You may all so have a meeter with a number calibration. Dead center of the meeter is the # 440. 440 is what is what is called standard pitch When you tune up start with the 6 string low E. the biggest string A 5th ,D 4th G 3rd B 2nd E 1ft. Looking at the red lights when the lite on the left is red you string is flat adj. by tightening . To much and the right lite glows , your sharp, back off the tention untill the green lite glows and the meeter nedal is at 440. . Thats is what you want 440 and green. Do this to the rest and you will be at standard pitch. Good luck, keep on rockin in the free world DFD please rate me TKU

Our guitar is about 20 years old. The bridge appears to have moved and as a result the strings are sitting on the frets. The bridge is held in place by two screws (allen key needed) but no matter how we...

LIKELY the problem requires a truss rod adjustment. Best to take this in to a guitar shop for setup as one can do damage. The rod controls the "bend" of the neck of the guitar to set up string to fret clearance.

How to adjust the neck to make the strings nearer to the finger boards

Two ways I'm familiar with ::

1) adjust the bridge downward (I looked at the guitar on line -- couldn't tell if it has an adjustable bridge)

2) remove the cover above the nut (where the tuning keys are) -- use a wrench to turn the nut on the rod which runs thru the neck -- it doesn't take much turning of this nut to have a big effect

With either approach, the issue with adjusting the strings closer to the finger board is that too much adjustment will cause the strings to rattle on the frets.

Epiphone BB King Lucille guitar treble pickup in mono mode

Realize that when you plug into the one jack it disconnects the fingerboard pickup from the mix.

DO NOT USE "stereo" cables as it is intended to use TWO MONO cables, one for each side of the stereo.

IF you plug into the one jack that will connect to the bridge pickup, it will disconnect the fingerboard pickup from the mix BUT leave the fingerboard on its own jack.
That same jack will have BOTH fingerboard and bridge pickups IF the second jack (bridge) is not plugged into.

This is according to the schematic. If you find that yours works backwards, then either the schematic is wrong OR your guitar pickups may be electrically swapped.

Washburn guitar B and high E string sound real buzzy-tinny. am fretting it clean. It just started doing it. Any Help?

Probably time for string replacement !!! They do go bad...

Get a set and try the E string... if it fixes that one, change ALL the strings at one sitting, but do them one at a time and tune each as you go... this keeps the tension and minimizes the interaction when you do the final tuning.

Neck and Middle pickups make little sound even with volume at max

Hi There!!

I am a gitarist myself too and firstly let me tell you u have purchased an excellent guitar to begin with!!
Now about the Neck\blues pickup.....If you say there is little sound this can be because of:-
1)Faulty bridge adjustment
2)There can be a problem also because of  the neck of the guitar being a bit bent in or around the place where u have the pick-ups though the chances of that are rare.

If there is no sound then please contact your dealer to change the piece....
Have a great time playing

Hoping this helped.Any help regarding the above steps , feel free to ask them.
See ya.
