My pump will not shut off

check the float assembly for freedom of movement. A jammed float will give a false indicator to the pump.

Alarm won't shut off

This system does not have an alarm. The accessory alarm is something else. Check it's sensor and make sure it didn't get knocked into the pit.

My simer ace in the hole a5000 will not charge my 2.5 year old battery. The battery voltage reads 10.75 volts. I replaced the twelve volt charger and it originaly lit the yellow charging light , but it no...

I does sound like a controller issue. Try testing the charging output (be careful, who knows what the voltage may be coming out) I would say it is the battery but the yellow light thing has me thinking you are right. That thing has been sitting there maintaining the battery for 17 years, it is probably tired. The other bad news is if your battery has been sitting at that low it may have a greatly reduced capacity now. Hope this helps some. .

My backup battery for my sump pump is telling me to recharge the battery. These things are all new to me never had to have one. My model is ace in a hole A5000. Have no manual from the previous owner....

yes but it has to be disconnected before you charge it. also check the battery for water level in all cells. basement watchdog is a better unit. yours on a good battery might run for 4 hours when the powers out. it should have a large deep cycle battery for it to work well

Water ace pump it will pump it out but it comes back in

Do you mean it won't pump last inch of water or so? sump pumps are not designed to pump completely dry. vane pumps will pump dry. If you are pumping from one tank to another and after pumping is complete, and fluids transfer back, install a check valve on output hose to prevent back-siphoning , or don't submerge output hose on other tank. Hope this helps.

Alarm says terminals corroded

One of two things:

Somewhere in the wiring you have a weak connection and it is interpreting it as a bad battery or corroded terminals. It could even be where the cord goes into the sump pump. You will have to search it completely to find it.

The alarm itself is bad.

New water ace sump pump will run but willnot shut off

The higher you pump the water, the stronger your pump needs to be, or the skinnier your hose needs to be. A lower discharge point and / or a smaller diameter hose might help immensely.
