Question about Samsung DVD-VR357
I have used Samsung DVD-VCR dual recorder to copy old family videotapes on to DVD-Rs for a year (no editing, Memorex DVD-Rs, same procedure) . Suddenly, it began to freeze after 3 seconds of viewing. The picture freezes and there is a buzz for a second, and then the screen becomes snowy, and neither the remote nor machine buttons work, and to retrieve the DVD I have to turn the power off and on. I did the "reset" procedure multiple times as directed and was able once to get a singel DVD done, and then nothing. I have wasted lots of DVDs . No warantee now. Is this an expensive lost cause ?
