This is normally on your router page settings. Access your router's management page using your computer browser. Then under Access Restrictions tab, check category
Website Blocking by URL Address
Facebook shouldn't be in the list then save the settings.
since it is posted in the router problem, i assume it is blocked from the router configuration page...but i wont exclude the possibility that is is blocked from your unit's os..anyway if its blocked from the router..you must access the config page of the router..usually the default is 192.168.1.1 but if you can access it is likely that they changed it to their preffered setting..even if you know the ip to access , it would be useless if there's a password..your next step is to reset the router...look for a small hole at the back of the router and insert a pin or something to reset it by push hold it for maybe 10-20secs..then you should be able to access it by default 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
Access your router via the built in configuration page, default is http://192.168.1.1. I'm assuming you're the administrator; If not, contact him/her. At the top of the window, select the "Access Restrictions" tab. The policies will be listed and can be modified.
Blocked Services: You may choose to block access to certain services. Click Add/Edit Services to modify these settings.
Website Blocking by URL: You can block access to certain websites by entering their URL.
Website Blocking by Keyword: You can block access to certain website by the keywords contained in their webpage.
On school computers access to certain websites is blocked by your system administrator. He is the only person who knows how to give you access to Facebook. You will have to talk to him - he may or may not approve your request to access the Facebook website.
If Youtube access is blocked at the server, then the administrator has to unblock it. If it's a public computer say at a library or an organization's computer, then the administrator has the right to block or unblock certain content as he or she likes.
I am assuming that you are accessing facebook in your office because if its at home, then you can control your router and unblock facebook. Most social networking site are blocked by your network administrator. If you believed that Facebook should be allowed in your office, talk to your network administrator and ask him/her to unblock facebook.
If you have a personal computer then you should not have facebook blocked.
If you try to access Facebook website and you get an information that the website has been locked make sure to check the following:
Web-browser settings for block/not permitted websites
Local firewalls and active anti-virus
Router configuration. Unless you have changed settings on the router it should not be filtering/blocking any HTTP traffic.
