Question about Bosch WFMC 3200 Front Load Washer

I want to drain the pump as per the manual for storage

The owners manual says that if you wish to store the washing machine in a cold location like a cottage that you should drain the pump to avoid damage. Makes sense to me, but the manual doesn't say how. I've taken the access cover on the front off and unscrewed what appears to be a filter cover but I can't get past the round white plate that's behind this. Is this the right way to drain the pump?

The best way to drain the pump is to lay the drain hose on the floor, and let the water run out that way, if you tilt the washer back, you will get more water out this way..
This is only suitable if the drain hose comes out of bottom of washer.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

My Fisher Paykel 8kg Intuative Washing Machine doesn't work on the Eco Wash cycle

Your eco Diverter valve has failed. this is a wax solenoid and is a common part to fail, it is located under the machine in the drain hose next to the drain pump.

How to clean water pump

Most machines have a filter. Without stating which machine you have, makes it kind of hard to say how to drain it. If you still have the owners manual - it will tell you where the filter is located and how to drain. Most manufacturing recommend that the filter be drained every 3 to 6 months

Where does the grey hose connect? I'm not sure if

First we need to know what diameter said Grey Hose is? I assume you are speaking of a Washing Machine?? If so, typically they are equipped with 3 hoses as follows: One for Hot Water Supply and a Matching hose for Cold Water Supply. Both of these hoses are equipped with 3/4 Inch Female Housse Thread connectors identical to a Garden Hose. So that delegates the Third Hose to DRAIN. It is LARGER and usually is attached inside the Washing Machine to the Water Pump and passes through the rear cover and ultimately must be formed into a "U" bend and inserted into the Drain. It is necessary to secure this hose to the Drain and Supply device so that it cannot blow out of the Drain while the Washing Machine is Pumping Out. All Washing Machines come with User Manuals and Installation Instruction Sheets. Like Automobile Owners Manuals, they should be read cover to cover and stored for future reference. You can find most Washer and Dryer Manuals online. Use Google Search to find them.

My washing machine is a Roper top load washer. The problem I am having is that the pump from the cold water drain from under the washing machine. Do I need another pump? The hot water will work. I use the...

This model is a direct drive with only one pump, the drain pump. If the drain pump leaks, which is a common problem on these models, it will leak no matter what temperature wash is selected! If you a have a leak on cold, it will probably also leak on warm wash. Your problem is your solenoid operated fill valve on the cold side. Only one fill hose comes off of this combination fill valve to your fill plenum at the top back of your tub. So if it leaks on the cold, but not hot, check for a crack in the plastic housing of the valve on the cold half. The valve is located on the inside back of the machine on top right when looking at the front of the machine. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

Hope this helps

make sure the drain pipe out of the machine is installed at the right height per owners manual and the stand pipe isnt plugged with debris which will back wash into the pump area of machine, also make sure the pipe and drain hose arent sealed they need outside air or the system will vapor lock per say and siphon back into the machine, overall make sure there isn't and obstructions to the drain from kinked hoses or debris in the drain lines, flush out all lines with fresh water and make sure lines take all water and dont back-up during rinse-out

there some simple solutions but may not always work but everyone should try. underneath when the water pump engage with the tub. there;s a white plastic clip press it out and turn the water pump. it will come off the tub. before doing this you should have the washer disconnected. have someone or put something under so the washer won;t fell on you while reaching down. sometimes debris gets stucks on the way from the tub to the pump. it insert your fingers inside once the pump is taken out and if you find debris take it out. put back the pump and connect the washer again. this can be a very simple solution it won;t work all the times. but what if it does. :)
