Re: My auio just doesnt work.
This sounds as if the output amplifier has failed.
Professional repair is necessary.
To check the rest of the radio is functioning properly, use the low level outputs (RCA) to an amplifier.
If you have sound, the internal amplifier is blown.
The repair shop you take it to should be able to bench test it for a nominal fee that usually comes off the repair bill.

Only fuse you need is the power wire leading to your aftermarket amplifier for te subwoofer. Which most likely you have too small of a gauge of wire and burned straight through it, and if you haven't, add a 40 amp fuse near the battery where your power cable is hooked up to. Also use a multimeter to test your power wire on amp, check the
if you had the speakers hooked up wrong it would just make a crackling sound when it rubs on a surface. if your vehicle has a factory built in amplifier somewhere you may have to hook up the remote turn on wire to the wiring harness to tell it to turn on.
also make sure your illumination and dimmer wire are hooked up correctly if it doesnt display any images on the screen. and if for some reason you think its shutting off because of crossed wires maybe check the ground the batt and the ignition wire ,or the red black and yellow wires. usually when something major like those three wires get crossed it blows fuses in the car taillamp fuse stereo batt fuse ect. check all those .try resetting the deck of the car battery thats all i can think of now.
After all connections are completed correctly - Press the RESET button. The RESET button on the housing must be activated with either a ballpoint pen or similar pointed object. The RESET button is to be activated for the following reasons: • Initial installation of the unit after all wiring is completed. • Some the function buttons do not operate. • Error symbol appears on the display.
just solved a similar problem on my car i
bought a Cd/dvd player for my 2000 concord lxi i hooked it up and
hooked a rear-view camera and it worked perfect but wen i turned the
headlights on the cd player shuts of so i disconnected the orenge wire
that came out of my cd player from the orange on the aftermarket harness
then grounded the ping wire (rear con wire) it worked fine but i
couldn't see any footage from the camera for that i bought a long red power wire
and hooked it to the red camera power wire that hooked from camera to
reverse light and took the other end of the new wire i bought and hooked
it to the orange wire that came out of the cd player now every thing
works fine. you probably dont have the right power to run both cd and head lights
thats why you need constant power to run both just hook up an extra
wire between a positive wire to the orange dimmer wire its simple;
ground to ground (black)
12+ positive to 12+ positive (red)
and an extra wire (usually a red 18 guage wire bought mine at walmart)
to the dimmer wire from the back of the cd player (orange)
check all your fuses and then take the face plate off and push the reset button. if that doesnt work just check the wire connections sometimes if the wires dont have enough contact they want work. i had that issue when i upgraded the speakers in my jeep the connections were not good enough.
are you using RCA outputs(the round red and white plugs)? if you are then your amp is not turning on and if you are hooking up speakers to your RCA's (low level) then you will not hear any audio the signal is to low. would need to know more about how you checked the ic power?? one could verify an output ic by hooking up an amp since the RCA audio signal is picked off just before the output. if the low level works but the speakers do not then you have a bad output. anything else an o-scope would be handy.
