Try this solution if this did not work then there is hard ware failure in the printer ...
1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

I don't know what printer you have, but this applies to all printers. The first paragraph is just for inkjets. The the whole is related to laser printers.

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers. The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease.

Metal Tab Separation- Pull out your paper tray and examine either end where the paper sits in. If any of the corners are held down by metal tabs, this is your paper feed system. Chances are, you only have one rubber roller or one set of rollers arranged along side of each other. Reach in where the tray goes and feel up. You should feel some rollers. They might be completely round, or they might be shaped like a half moon. Clean whichever part of them you can with the solution, and this should stop your paper jams. It might be necessary to turn them, but don't force them if they don't move freely.

Pickup Roller and Separation Pad-

If your printer uses this paper feed system, you should see a small piece of flat or slightly curved rubber or cork. It would be towards the end of the paper tray, or deep inside the paper loading cavity on top loaders. This 'separation pad' rubs against the paper feed roller, so if you find the pad, you've found the roller. Clean it and your jams should stop.

Three Roller Paper Separation System- Pull your paper tray out, and look for a roller on either end of it. If you find one, clean it. Then look inside the printer where that roller would rest with the paper tray inserted. You'll find another paper roller there. Clean this one also. Finally, look further back or closer to the front of your printer (depending on which way your paper feeds) to find another roller or set of rollers. Clean all of these, and your paper jams will go away

My copier will not pull the paper through to make copies it seems to want to jam -up ,when the paper start through

There are a couple of possible issues here. First, if the unit isn't new, the paper pickup rollers may have picked up 'chaf' from grabbing paper which over time reduces the ability of the rollers to grab paper. The 2nd option is that if the copier is older, the pickup rollers have dried up which reduces their stickyness and ability to grab paper. The 3rd option is that if you live in a very humid climate, the paper may have absorbed humidity, which can keep it from curling in the correct direction as its being pulled through the printer/copier.

I have got an HP OFFICEJET PRO L7480 (All in One) and a problem with the paper feeding. I tried all the usual things (resetting, cleaning rollers, etc.) It seems like it is mainly a problem with the...

the problem in your printer could be the plastic gear attach to the end of the rubber roller that grabs the paper. Look closely and see which gear's teeth is broken or already worn out. This cause the delay in the timing of the rotation of the roller.
Check also the mechanical timing of the roller. if you can unlatch the tension spring / lock to make the rubber roller moves freely, do it....position the rubber that grabs the paper, try 90 or 180 degrees from its previous location.
Hope this helps!

clean any paper dust from the paper path, something is blocking somewhere,
theres too many factors to give an exact diagnosis...but !!!
if the paper is
completely blank where jamming it maybe time to order a new set of pickup rollers, which just collect the paper from the bottom drawer, should just pull off and easily replaced and are cheap, you can clean these with soapy water as long as you thoroughly dry them before putting back.
if the toner is on the paper but its not dry...smudgy, try the transfer drum, either check theres no small tears of paper or excess dust in that area,(DON'T CLEAN WITH CLOTH relies on static charge) a few light blows of air should be enough..replace if need be but they're expensive.
if the papers printed and dry where jamming its going to be in the area of the fuser (the hot roller) this can be cleaned with dry clot, don't use any solvents ore cleaning products...ALLOW TO COOL first or burn your fingers.
if the papers crumpling anywhere along the line there is a roller not turning maybe due to a stuck piece of paper from a previous print, the roller not turning is obviously between the front of the paper and the crumple.

you have bad rollers. you can try to clean the roller with an alchohol wipe but I doubt it will help much. You need to have the roller replaced or get a new printer

PAPER JAM

Rotate tires. Pull out paper tray. Pull down on red low paper indicator at left bottom. Two rollers come down on axel near center. I pulled off the rubber tire like roller, then twisted the roller inside out and reinstalled it with the fresh side out.
If tires dry out again will probably buy new ones from ebay.

try cleaning the rollers with alcohol, they may be dirty and slipping when trying to grab the paper.
If it is too smooth, then they may need to be changed.
