The model number is PA-300. Output is 16V 2.4amp and yes I am in the USA

I had already goodled the part number -the results did not produce anything helpful.

I was surprised too that the web dealers web pages you recommended did not yield an answer using their search. But the one did have aphone number and that worked this morning. By early afternoon I had two e-mails from them letting me know it was ordered, then it was shipped and about a half hour later I had an e-mail from Fedex with their shipping info.

Absolutely terrific response and follow through. Thanks for your help.

Look on the adapter and give the specifics. It should say something like...Output 12VDC @ 500ma or something similiar.

Post that and I'll try to find something online. Are you in the US?

Here is just one site where you can purchase it:

This is brand name at $79.

Here is another, a little higher price $83.50.

If you care to search online more, just Google Yamaha PA300.

Thanks for using Fixya. A Fixya rating would be appreciated.

My CTK 720 isn't powering on from the adapter anymore but battery power is working. I bought a new adapter but it still isn't powering on. Can this be repaired?

This could be a loose plug inside the unit or it could be a circuit that is bad. If the plug failed it is from physical damage from something like tripping over it or heavy use. That can be repaired by replacing the plug. If it is something like a component in the unit on a board then it becomes a little more involved.

I have a Yamaha digital piano 95. After it being idle for a month I plugged it in and it no longer works. The master on off switch will not come on. I've tried re-doing all of the plugs and making sure...

Here is a possibly helpful clip from Page 25 of your User Manual: "If this instrument somehow becomes disabled or malfunctions, turn off the power to the instrument, then perform the initialization procedure." So, how do you "initialize?" Turn the power off; hold down high C (the farthest right white key on the keyboard, also called C7), and turn the power back on while holding down that key. Try it. It may work for you. Another suggestion I have is to verify you have good 12 volt power coming out of your adapter. Yes, you have checked the wall outlet. Good. But have you done anything to be sure the adapter is doing its job? The best test is done with a voltmeter or multi-tester. Harbor Freight sells them for $4, and sometimes even gives them away to people who bring in the right coupon from print ads or the HF website. If you are uncomfortable with a meter, you can [CAREFULLY!!!] create a brief dead short across the adapter output and watch for little sparks. Do this with a small, insulated screw driver, and avoid bare skin contact with any "live" metal. The absence of sparks or current coming out of the adapter suggests you should replace it. Good luck. Truly.

If you have a voltmeter, you can test to make sure that your powere adapter is putting out the right voltage. (Should say on the label something like 120v IN - 12VDC output.
If it is bad or you don't have a meter to test it... You can get a replacement for less than 10 bucks on Ebay.
If the power is good, you have to move on to power button, etc.

Yahama PSRE413 Keyboard DC Adapter Issues

Yahama PSRE413 Keyboard DC Adapter Issues (1): First try battery power to ensure Synth works.
If it does, problem is most likely near DC socket, or socket contacts dirty / worn.
(2): Get a contact-cleaner spray (Servisol, McKenic, Kontakt, etc) and squirt into socket, then plug / unplug / twist DC plug to 'scrub' the contacts.
(3): Get a qualified tech to manually apply DC to the PCB solder-points which will verify if socket is faulty.

Casioik90tv wont work trough power

Likely a problem with the power connector or the power adapter. Make sure you are using the original power adapter as often replacements don't work and universal adapters seldom work.

My Zoom H4 will no longer run with batteries. If I use AC adaptor it works fine but I get nothing on battery power

Probably the connector where you plug the AC adapter into has a switch contact that disconnects the battery when external adapter is used and it has gotten bent so when the adapter is not plugged in, it no longer makes contact to the battery power. This is pretty common for devices that use both battery and adapters.
