Call AT&T (611 from your device), tell them you're going overseas and that you'd like you're unlock code. Once you get it, follow these steps:

1) Have phone on with AT&T SIM inserted
2) Turn off all Wireless options (including the phone signal)
3) Go to Options-Advanced Options-SIM
4) Type Alt+MEPD (nothing will happen)
5) Type Alt+MEP2
6) A box should pop up asking for your unlock code.
7) Enter your code here and hit enter.
8) Reboot phone
