SOURCE: How do I re-code my Raynor Garage door opener

on the back of your garage door opener there is a colored learn button--press and release-the learn indicator light will glow for a short time usually 30 seconds. within thirty seconds press and hold the buton on the hand held remote that you wish to operate your garage door. release the button when the motor unit lights blink. if you don;t have a light, two clicks will be heard. it has learned the code. procedure will be different for multi function control.

Where is learn button on raynor 170-7 garage door opener

I am pretty sure there isnt a learn button. I have this same opener and if it has the receiver that came with it its from the 90's and it was "programmed" with a tone of dip switches. If you lost the remotes a cheap way to get a usable remote is with this: To get this to work properly you will need the external 12 power supply which is sold at home depot: It is normally not carried by the stores so check online first and i would recomend using their ship to store option unless you are buying something else to get free shipping.

Dip switch

You don't need codes. I'm not sure what you are trying to do but to program the opener for a remote you need to hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. The smart/learn button is on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go.

Universal remote does not work

Posting your garage door model would help, but there may be a button close to the LED on the garage door opener that you have to depress to allow the two to pair up. Assuming that this is the similiar to my garage door control mechanism, if you have the dip switches set correctly you need to depress the button mentioned above and then depress one of the buttons on the remote.

Open the back of the remote, change the order of the pin switches inside your remote. Then Go to receiver box ( on back on Motor) Open name plate to locate your learn button, Push the learn button, an LED light comes on for 30 seconds. During the 30 seconds, push the button on the remote and you are done
