Followed instructions for i860 error5200 and now get a new issue

You will need a new printhead, you only remove to see if that's the problem, wrong or missing cartridge error means the printhead has gone bad.

6C cartridge space will not print regardless of cartridge

Replace print head by following manufacturer's instructions. These instructions can be found on-line at www.canon.usa.com under support for your particular printer. Enter "removing print head" into the search box.

Try removing your present print head and cleaning the electrical connections with soft brush or clean microfiber cloth (lens cleaner cloth for glasses). Replace your old head and see if this solves the problem. If not, you probably need to order a new print head from Canon, or you may decide it is better to just buy a new printer because of the price.

Replacing printhead in Kodak 5300 All in One Printer

on this website:
http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/service/manuals/AiOPrinters/printhead/AUR1780-9_UE_RevC.pdf

You can find illustrated instructions on how to remove the old printhead, as well as on how to put the new printhead back in place.

You can easily go to that website by going to:
www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport

and selecting the second option "installing new printhead".

Print head for canon ip90

There is a very easy fix for a Canon IP90 not printing either color or black. I just fixed mine a few minutes ago. Go to the local Dollar store and buy some nail polish remover. Then open up the printer, remove the ink cartridge(s) and put a few drops of nail polish remover in the hole that receives the ink. Works like a charm and fixed mine in just minutes. After inserting the polish remover (actually just Acetone with some glycerin) reinsert the ink cartridge and do a deep clean using the Canon utility from the Control Panel under "Printers > Properties > Maintenance (right click on the Printer icon in Control Panel to start)." You can also simply use acetone. Another trick is to remove the print head which holds the ink cartridges (although I could not figure out how to do this but it's doable) then put a paper towel soaked with distilled water (tap water probably OK) in the microwave, heat the towel and quickly put the print head on the hot paper towel. As a last resort simply order a new print head from the Internet and replace the print head. I would presume it would come with instructions for removing the old print head.
