I forgot to mention that I am running, not by choice, vista home. At any rate, I bumped up the resolution and it looks better but not like it used to. The wireless issue still remains. I can't even find the wireless hardware on my laptop anymore. This one is confusing. Any suggestions?

How do I setup my wireless mouse and keyboard

Need more information but normally you would hook up the infrared device or usb device to the laptop. Then you would make sure that the keyboard and mouse has new batteries in it. At that point windows should recognize the mouse and keyboard. You may have to push on the connect buttons on the keyboad or mouse to get the laptop to recognize them.
Other then that its not really hard. Just time consuming if it doesn't take right away. Most of the time you don't need software installed unless the manual tells you to install them because windows will recognize them.

How to enable wireless connection . Wireless reciver is working network connection was working over wireless . It appears that reciever is switched off but I cannot find how to turn it on

Is this a desktop or a laptop?

If it's a laptop, most laptops have an on/off switch for the wireless. Depending on the brand and model, it could be in one of several places.

So, not knowing which model you have, let me recommend that you look for an icon that looks like a radio antenna. The icon should be on one of the keyboard buttons.

If the icon is on a Function key (F1, F2, etc), then all you need to do is press <Fn> and the function button with the icon. Press them both at the same time.
Then, your wireless should be on.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Dellwireless card driver.

Re-install the drivers firstm, go to www.support.dell.com amd select your model or put in tag number, then download them and install. Then make sure it is enabled by right clicking on the icon and selecting " ENABLE" or right click MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE, then when it opens, go to devices and locate it under network cards, should be a green little icon, select it and enable it form there if you can or see if its got a malfunction symble.

Try this and get back to us if you still have trouble.

Have you verified the wireless card that is in the machine? (Are you certain there is one there?) Even if there is one inside it, the PC may not see it. Go to device manager (My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager button). Then look through the list to find "Network adapters", click the "+" to the left, and it will display a list of adapters present in the machine. Make sure there are no yellow caution symbols or other error icons in any area.

Then, if you can see a wireless card listed, right-click to view the properties. Please post back with the results, and the exact info regarding your PC and the wireless card if you need more help. Otherwise, thank you for using and rating FixYa!

The font size on my HP Pavillion N5445 is too large. When checking the text size, it is already on smallest and is still too large.

Are all fonts too large or just icon fonts?

You could reset the screen to a higher resolution. Please note that everything will appear smaller including webpages and desktop icons.
Click Start\Settings\Control Panel
Then Click Display
When the box opens click Settings
When the new window opens you will see an adjustment called "Screen resolution" and a slider marked 'more' at one end and 'less' at the other.
Most modern monitors are set to 1024 by 768 pixels or above. Try moving your slider to a higher setting then click Apply\Ok
