I assume your camera is on. Menu is showing and so on. Sometimes, you (accidentally) just turned the mode dail to another setting then automatic, or the one you are used to. If it then is to dark, the camera won't work. Put the dail on automatic (green camera logo) and try again. Also check if the lens is in the lock position.
If you never changed any settings in the menu's just reset the camera to the factory settings and start over in automatic mode.
Yes that is look like a miss setting in manual mode verify for your shutter speed setting or so/and if you have the user guide, help you may find the problem
if not thats could be an electronic problem or dusty
thats all i can say or do from here
good luck, hi hope that willhelp
have a nice day..
You must get a Roland or Boss B.R.A. adapter, I just got mine from Sweetwater for 27.00 or something like that, fixed the problem completely, no 3rd party adapters, it's rigged so you must buy theirs, If you use a 3rd party adapter, it will fire up, and run "analog" test error there after. I hope this helps somebody. Peace Out!!
Select RCA camcorders feature both an Automatic and a Manual recording mode.
Automatic recording places the camcorder into Auto Shot™ mode. Focus, exposure, iris control, white balance, and the video light are controlled by the camcorder during Automatic recording. This mode is particularly handy for those times when you want to be able to just point the camera and record.
The Manual recording mode allows you to control many of the elements above yourself, as well as many of the camcorder's special features including Animation and Time Lapse. Manual mode is also where you access the menus and set the clock.
Make sure you press in the LOCK button while setting the POWER switch to the desired setting, either "A" (Automatic) or "M" (Manual) record mode.
What is the best situation to use each of the shooting modes? The shooting modes are described as follows:
Program Auto (Factory default setting)
Program Auto mode is used for regular photography. The camera automatically makes the settings for natural color balance. Other functions, such as the flash mode and metering, can be adjusted manually.
Portrait mode is suitable for taking a portrait-style picture of a person. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions.
Landscape + Portrait
Landscape + Portrait mode is suitable for taking photos which include both your subject and the landscape. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions.
Landscape mode is suitable for taking pictures of landscapes and other outdoor scenes. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions.
Night scene mode is suitable for shooting pictures in the evening or at night. The camera sets a slower shutter speed than is used in normal shooting. If you take a picture of a street at night in any other mode, the lack of brightness will result in a dark picture with only dots of light showing. In this mode, the true appearance of the street is captured. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. If you use the flash, you can take pictures of both your subject and the night background.
Self-portrait mode enables you to take a picture of yourself while holding the camera. Point the lens towards yourself, and the focus will be locked on you. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. The zoom is fixed in the wide position and cannot be changed.
QuickTime Movie mode lets you record movies with sound. The focus and zoom are locked. If the distance to the subject changes, the focus may be compromised.
