Question about Samsung HL-S5679W 56" HDTV

Samsung HL-S5679W No video No sound

My samsung went out about a week ago. It has no audio or sound. The LED light on the front will blink in no specific order and the tv clicks on and off a few times and then stays off. All three fans work. I get all correct voltages on BP41-00268B card connectors CN100 and CN 300. I get the 115ac to card bp96-01495A.

My 5679W unexpectedly lost sound and picture with no warning. The power button on the front blinks "Standby/Temp" at ffirst then the green "timer" and "LED" turn on and all three blink. The owners manual indicates that the problem is with a Lamp. However, the TV is described as an innovation that eliminates Lamps and color wheel. Does the 5679W have a Lamp that can overheat and then fail? Thank you in advance.

Check the capacitors on the power supply first. If any have domed tops or signs of leakage, replace them. I had two go bad on mine. Call electronics parts supply stores first as these are not your average capacitors.

Samsung HL-S5679W - Power-up issue

There can be a few causes. One of the LED Modules has gone bad, The LED Driver board has gone bad and or the Power Supply has gone bad. You will need to have a good tech look into it.

Where can i find a bulb for this model HL-S5679W

This is a LED TV it does not use a bulb. If you have problems you may have to change the light engine which cost around $800.

I need to replace the bulb on my TV model # HL-S5679W. I can not locate the replacement number for the lamp. I have been unsuccessful with contacting Samsung and need help.

This model does not use a lamp----if the LED unit is bad you may want to just forget it---

Samsung part number for the entire optical engine:

BP96-01470BIt is marked as no longer available (2006 model) and had a suggested list of 495 exchange.

Google the above part number and you will find some places selling the engine---for much more than Samsung wanted.

SORRY TO GIVE YOU BAD NEWS---no replaceable lamp in this model----the LED light unit is part of the optical light engine.

There is no lamp on this TV.. Your issues sound like a bad DMD board or bad capcitors on the power board. Remove the power board and inspect it.

TV Stopped turning on.

Apparently you can fix the issue by replacing a few faulty capacitors. I haven't done this yet, but plan to try it out next week.

Samsung HL-S5679W No video No sound

all 3 leds on the front panel blinking = lamp error.
if the tv doesn't come on, it may not put sound to the speakers.
you need to focus on the error at hand.. does the tv come up and appear that it is running and not turning itself off (shutting down)?
if it runs and doesnt turn off, then the audio matters, otherwise focus on the other problems.. you won't have audio on certain inputs, etc, don't use that to troubleshoot unless your tv is running and not shutting down.
