SOURCE: candy nova cd112 dishwasher fills with water then stops working

nova cd112 this is a simple fix the machine has a electronic switch to add water to the machine it then has another switch to say the machine has water iin it , this switch is the one that is not working this is the one that turns on the element and heat the water .it costs around a tenner to replace u can find it as it is connected to the element via a wire conection .this a a common problem of over enginearing as this switch is not needed and is not on older machine .ie this switch can only come on when the machine has water in it in other words only after the switch to put water in the machine has been on.can this go on i hope u know what i mean lol. now u can replace this yourself or get an engineer it should take an engineer no more than 10/15 mins to fix better still have him bypass this switch and u will never haver the problem again as this switch is prone to going fixthis and the machine should last years no problem as its not a bad machine not quite a bosch but better than a zanussi or indicit etc hope this helps and may i just say that i tried everything including replacing the element ,stat and cpu non of which worked before realizing it was this .i must also say before u try this. Switch on your machine on put it on a universal cycle as u hear the water going in the machine open the door and add hot water as hot as u can close the door and the machine should do a full cycle including emptying and reheating the water this proves its not the cpu ,element or stat note the machine will not do the cycle without the hot water going in at the start if it does the cycle then its 100 % this switch hope this helps and sorry for the lond explantion bye

While in heating or cooling press the temp hold button behind the door. Hold will be displayed rather than p1, p2 p3 or p4.

Water doesn't heat up and cycle seems to be stuck, candy DFI 45

What is a Candy brand dishwasher? Made in the UK? That is not a manufacturer I have ever heard of here in the US.
What do you mean, 'doesn't seem to heat up any sense?'
If the dishwasher is older than 5 years, write it off to age a buy a new, high quality machine. Or do the dishes by hand.
Machines get old and die. If you are UK native, don't buy anothre Candy.

What does a P3 code mean? On a Hobart LXI high temp

P3 code refers to the probe near the airgap at the back. It is monitoring the rinse temp. P2 is the booser probe, and P1 is the wash tank. The control board will store error codes, so once changed, you can access the memory and clear it.

I have an asko T760 Butterfly dryer. It is stuck on P2 but will not run. I shut off the unit, turned back on. The LCD flashes between P1-P4 and what they are, such as extra dry, dry, normal dry, & iron...

Hi.

The machine is telling you that there is overfill, f2 and 4 are faults with overfill system. Lights blinking, pump running and controls dead also indicate an over fill fault :

"1. Disconnect the power to the unit

2. Remove the lower access panels and check the tray under the dishwasher (you will probably find it is full of water)

3. Use a towel or a sponge to remove the water

4. There is a float that should stop the operation of the dishwasher and run the pump if water is in this tray. Check this pump to see if it is functional

5. Test the dishwasher

6. If there are no leaks from the dishwasher into the pan, check the drain hose under the sink

7. THE DRAIN HOSE MUST RUN UP TO THE TOP OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE COUNTERTOP THEN DOWN TO THE DRAIN. (If the hose is not set up like this, water from the sink drain will flow into the dishwasher and overfill the tray"

Here all diagrams.

Regards.

Ginko.

I was given a lx 30 hobart when i hooked it up i got a p1 then it spelled out d r o p can you tell me what this means thank you

P1 means a temperature probe reading is out of range, I believe it refers to the temp. probe in the sump inside the dishwasher. There are also P2 and P3 which refer to the booster tank temp. probe and the rinse water temp. probe. Remove the lower front panel and make sure the connector going to the sump temp. probe (two small black wires) is connected well and the wires look OK. Replace the temp. probe and P1 should go away.

"DR" followed by "OP" means "Door Open". If this is displayed when the door is closed, you most likely need to replace the magnetic door switch. Open the door and remove two phillips head screws which are installed vertically, holding the control panel drawer closed. Then open the control panel drawer (sometimes it's kind of stuck, but not usually). The magnetic door switch (i.e. reed switch) is located on the right side of the drawer, held down by a small metal bracket. Of course it's possible your problem could be the magnet in the door itself, but most likely the door switch is the problem.

Send to read/writer a plus hoop design it only reads the p1 file

After I stitch out the p1, I have to go back and load the p2 design and continue stitching after I adjust the hoop to the p2 setting. Then I do the same thing with the p3. It is a pain to go back and forth, but it works!

Hobart lx 40 - problem D 1

Does it show a wrench icon and P1?
error codes are p 1to 3 for probe errors, or E1 to 7 for error codes.
P1 is the probe on the wash tank. It's a thermistor with two black wires to a white connector. There is another on the booster front (P2) and a 3rd on the rear airgap, (p3). You could try exchanging 1 and 3 to see if the fault changes too. You have to drain the booster to swap P2. If it can't determine the wash tank temp, it won't know to control the heat and shows the error.
