Have Sony cdp cx235 200 disc cd changer...purchased used and was trying it out before loading and entering menu data for all 200 cds. Plays excellant, but cd's fall off in random places. Thought it might play better with less, so loaded 4 and all 4 fell off...in 4 different places! Will it work better if I have it fully loaded so it is balanced? I'd hate to take a chance on ruining 200 of my favorite cds if they decide to all pile off.

I reckon that they are not being put back correctly by the loading mechanism! This is a common problem with these units. It is highly unlikely that they are actually falling off the carousel.
Open the unit, and watch it as it loads and replaces the cd's from the carousel. You will probably find that instead of grabbing the disc off of the spindle and putting it back, it might be grabbing before the cd is even in its grip. This then simply bumps the cd out of the way, and it will fall inside of the unit.
The good news is that it can be fixed with a bit of very gentle bending and persuading. But be very carefull when doing this!
