It sounds like you are not reinstalling the breakers properly. look carefully at the other breakers to see how they hook around the hot bus bar. When the circuit breaker is installed properly you must push relatively firmly to have the breaker be seated on the bus bar. good luck

Are there zinsco afci breakers available?

I have never seen one before I don't think that they have one. I was able at one time to get a zinsco GFCI breaker but even that was difficult and it was used with no returns and very expensive. Sorry

The 2 pole cct breaker is it 2 seperate circuits controlled by a single switch. What is the point of 2 poles?

A 2 pole circuit breaker is for 240 volt appliances such as ranges, dryers, water heaters, large air conditioners, and some motors. The breaker is designed so that _all_ conductors are de-energized when one turns OFF the breaker, or it trips due to overload or short circuit. If one used two individual breakers to supply a 240 volt load (which is not permited by National Electric Code), one could turn OFF just one breaker and render the equipment nonfunctional, yet the other breaker would still be supplying 120 volts to the equipment. Anyone working on that equipment, thinking that the equipment is turned OFF because it's not functioning could be killed by that energized 120 volt line under the right conditions. That's why it's important to always check for voltage on equipment that has been "turned OFF".

I have an ITE breaker panel (G2020MB1100) with Q115 breakers, but need to add a 15 amp circuit. Will a Q1515NC fit into one of the Q115 slots?

Yes they will fit. They are both a single pole breaker. Turn the breakers over. They should look the same and snap into a single slot in the panel the same.

Not sure what you mean by No Clip? A Square D QO Breaker has a metal clip that snaps into the panel on the breaker mount and one on the Bus Bar.

Hi. I'm a Siemens employee directly involved in helping customers with this situation. You may check the following website for information on the breakers affected. Please use the response form there if you need further assistance:

Also, you may check with your local distributors for assistance with replacements. They have quarantined the affected breakers and should be able to sell existing unaffected stock.

Enter your zip code and choose Residential Products or Murray depending on the branding of your circuit breaker.

You may have arc fault breakers in this area. Be sure to unplug all devices and try to reset breaker again. Some brush type motors will not work on arc fault breakers. If this is a brand new house then call the builder back and let him get the electrician back in.

A Google search for "15 amp pushmatic" turned up several links. Here's one for a retailer with new ones and an eBay store with cheaper prices (maybe pullouts):

Did you also check the big-box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's or electric suppliers in your area?

Black will normaly go to the breaker on a 110 circuit white is ground and the bare is secoundary ground..You should see this with the cover removed. BE VERY CAREFULL AS THERE IS POWER INSIDE THE BOX AT ALL TIMES AND A WRONG MOVE COULD SEND YOU TO THE UNDERTAKER,EVEN IF YOU TURN OFF THE MAIN BREAKER THERE IS STILL POWER COMING INTO THE BOX THAT COULD KILL YOU...If i were you i might call a friend ta help.
