How do I change a grinding wheel to a Wire wheel on my new grinder # 37823

There is a left handed thread and a right handed thread on the arbors.

Removal
Right Hand Side (RH)
Wrap a piece of rubber or leather around the threads on the LH side of the arbor & hold with pliers, while turning the RH nut CCW.

Left Hand Side (LH)
Wrap a piece of rubber or leather around the threads on the RH side of the arbor & hold with pliers, while turning the LH nut CW.

Installation
Note: Hand tighten the nut, then 1/4 turn.

Right Hand Side (RH)
Wrap a piece of rubber or leather around the threads on the LH side of the arbor & hold with pliers, while turning the RH nut CW.

Left Hand Side (LH)
Wrap a piece of rubber or leather around the threads on the RH side of the arbor & hold with pliers, while turning the LH nut CWW.

For grinding stones:
  • ring test the stone
  • discard the stone if it has been dropped
  • be sure the paper washers are installed on the wheel

How do you change the wheels on this bench grinder

Once you get them snugged a little, you will probably have to hang onto one wheel while you tighten a nut. It's easier if you tighten down one wheel with the other wheel dismounted so you can really grab the arbor shaft.

Do NOT overtighten either wheel - it doesn't need it, and overtightening increases the risk of a catastrophic wheel explosion.

Need belt for bench grinder belt #lb-12

To find the correct belt you will need to know the Brand and Model Number. Is the number on your old belt or on the grinder? Once you have the correct info you can get parts list by google searing for that. here is what I got just using the bench grinder belt #lb-12.
Just cut and paste the link in a new browser window.
https://www.google.com/search?q=bench+grinder+belt+%23lb-12&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Hope this helps..

New shaft for a delta 23-840

You need to check if the cost of the shaft will be too much and whether it makes sense. You have not indicated the reason for changing the shaft, if there is damage e it can be mended in most cases with the help of a machine shop.
So check cost with replacement before you attempt.

No control of speed on bench grinder, need schematic

Unless the motor is a brush type universal unit, there is commonly no way to change the speed of an induction motor. There are AC motor speed control units available, but cost more than the grinder as they change the frequency as well as the voltage. There are speed controllable grinders available that use brushes so that simple electronics can control speed. Hope this helps!

How do I change a brush? I can't get the axle locked to get the nut off. Can you help me?

Remember if you are trying to change the left side it is a reverse thread nut. You would turn it clockwise to loosen. IF it is very tight, put a wrench on both sides. IF the right side comes loose, remove brush/grinding wheel, and re-install nut, with an extra nut locked to the first one, the put a wrench on both sides again.

Make your own wrench out of a piece of wood stock, with 2 screws or nails spaced out to 2 opposing holes in the retaining ring/nut.HarborFreight sells a 'spanning wrench' online .

How to change the craftsman 6'' grinder wheel?

without having the model number I can only go from experience on other grinders. First you would have to unplug tool and remove outer guard housing to expose the hex nut, one side of the tool would have a left hand thread and the other standard so you would need to hold both the hex nuts at the same tme and try both ways, when you get one off put a GOOD pair of pliers or similar device on the shaft and remove the other wheel
