Question about HP Pavilion dv6000t Notebook
Many steps so far
1.)error message appeared after I uninstalled some programs from start menu
2.) online with HP live chat for 2 hours - their final solution? Reformat hard drive and start over -- corrupted drivers
3.) Did not do that .. fixya first solution: spybot & ad aware - right now - I did have trojans - and got them cleared
4.) still not working
5.) adobe flash not working - fixya said to re-install using administrator persmissions - did and it worked
6.) CLUE: tried 3X to install new hardware - conextant audio (right audio for this) -- each time computer crashed ....
7.) CLUE #2 - after first adobe flash install - showed the audio device, but still no sound ... after restart, however, it is gone again ... little X by speaker icon
So, are there any sherlock holmes out there that can solve my mystery?
I love you guys -- and I do not want to wipe out my OS and start over...
forums on line reflect that OODLES of people have this problem...not just HP users ...
do not tell me to install the driver -- it just says "no media device"
