SOURCE: mouse won't work 'cause program is not installing

First you can go to the www.microsoft.com website and type in "keyboard al shortcuts and hotkeys". You will get a listing of all the things that you can do with the keyboard that you could that you were able to do with the mouse. Then take the mouse back since it is not compatible with your operating system and exchange it for one that is compatible. That information is usually on the package.

SOURCE: Logitech Marble Mouse driver/setpoint messed up my synaptics touchpad on my laptop...can't fix this!

Hi, Please uninstall any logitech software version present on your OS (if available) - Then please proceed to clean boot. ( http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=228 ) -> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if
possible rather than a cordless device. -> Go to device manager -> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them -- -> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation -> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for
new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon ) -> Once reinstalled, clean boot -> Reinstall the software if available and/or plug the hardware when needed. -> Should work.
This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect
the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS
If after this the issue persist, then I suggest you to call Logitech support to issue a replacement, hardware
failures are covered by warranty terms

European support: http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/contact
Thanks and have a nice day ! J -

W7 using dongle ps2 to usb

If you are trying to convert your Logitech Trackman Marble FX from PS2 to USB so it will work with Windows 7, you can't just convert the port type - you have to get an "adapter" that converts the PS2 signal to a USB signal. See for ATen - UC 100KMA. WEB SIte:
http://www.aten.com/products/KVM/KVM-Modules-&-Accessories/PS2-to-USB-Adapter~UC100KMA.html#.U5sYrCi4NAE.

It allows you to convert a PS2 keyboard and PS2 mouse/trackball with the one device. It's what I use and it works just fine. The regular $2.00 port adapter was useless.

They are on EBAY sometimes for $20 or so. GOOD LUCK. :)

Greetings: I'm moving a marble mouse to a new computer. Previous setup had left small button perform the "back" function. I cannot remember how I programmed this. Please help...!

I believe you would have programmed the buttons with the driver software that SHOULD have come with the mouse. That would be your best bet. Look to see if the drivers installed a utility to program that mouse buttons.

Need the ability to "tab" from field to field on right of kybd

When you press ENTER to finish working in a cell, Microsoft Excel moves the cursor one cell down by default. However, you can select the direction in which you want the cursor to move.
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Edit tab, do one of the following:
    • To change the direction in which the cursor moves, select the Move selection after Enter check box, and then select a direction in the Direction box.
    • To keep the cursor in the current cell, clear the Move selection after Enter check box.
Note When a range or set of ranges is selected, pressing ENTER moves the cursor within the range or set or ranges only.

Logitech Marble Mouse 904360-0403

love this trackball mouse, yet they are very sensitive to wear and trash that causes them to fail. Wal-Mart sells great ones like the Logitech LX3 optical mouse that are not as sensitive and have more features
