Question about RCA OPAL M4001 MP3 Player
Worked fine for 2 weeks. Now won't initialize. I have tried several of the trouble shooting suggestions and none have worked. I have downloaded the opal firmware update file and then plugged the mp3 player in while holding the play button but the firmware initialization won't allow me to click on start. Thanks.
Just gotta reformat it in your my computer menu. Just right click devise then set default to Fat 32 and select reformat and your good to go. However this will erase your data but you will be able to use the player again

I had this problem. I had to really try several different things to get the software to recognize the mp3 player. RCA does have download software that will format your MP3 player and put the firmware on the player. It would be better to get the firmware on without formatting if you have files already on it. Just be sure that you get the screen that shows it is connected to USB.
