Question about Refrigerators
I have a Amana SSD25TL Refrigerator it is about 11 years old. Problem it is not cold on either side but the fan in back is working. Researched online and think might be the compressor or the relay. Is there a way to check if it is the compressor or the relay?
If you have no refrigeration you can't here the compressor starting than the problem might be able to be resolved if the compressor is not seized. there is a current relay on the compressor than when not working properly will not drop the start winding out on the compressor and it will trip on the overload. That's the poping sound you might hear as it tries to start. I could tell you how to check the windings out on the compressor but your best to replace the starting components hence the current relay and overload and capacitor(might not have one). Or if your don't want to mess around go to the wholesalers and pick up a 3 in 1 it is a capacitor, relay and overload all in one. Its solid state and if it doesn't start the compressor nothing will. If your no good at wiring and cannot determine the start common run winding on the compressor than let a professional do it. Another possibility is if the compresssor is running it might be out of refrigerant
