Ilo Mp3 player

Remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted. On the iLO, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the iLO will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank. An hourglass should appear on you computer and Windows should say, "Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500". Launch the Rave-MP firmware update program (Start>Programs>Rave-MP> Firmware) Click "Get Firmware". Select "iLO256" and let it download new firmware. Click "OK" when prompted. Click "Update Firmware". It will now search for the iLO. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient. After it has found the iLO, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait." The iLO should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen. The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start". It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the iLO and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the iLO! Why are you still reading this? Great, did something happen? Well, If the program fails to find the iLO and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the iLO drivers. This can be done by inserting the iLO cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again). Plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option though. Windows live care has stopped working: when i click on it, it says ''windows live onecare service is not working or has been stopped, try restarting computer. if the problem continues, click below to get...

You have malware and a nasty one at that. You need access to the internet from another computer. You will also need a portable flash drive or a USB drive to carry files back to the infected machine. Go to www.filehippo.com and in the center column under Malware, click on the view more text and scroll halfway down the column and download the latest version of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Tool. Download this to the portable drive. Now, restart the infected computer by tapping the F8 key after you power it up. Keep tapping F8 until you see a multi-choice menu pop up. Choose "Safe Mode" and none of the others. When the computer loads in safe mode, insert the flash drive and wait for it to load and be recognized by the computer. Open the drive and view the files. Double click on the MalwareBytes installer and go through the installation process. Uncheck the box that states "update files". Click the box that states "Load MalwareBytes When Finished". Run the program after it installs and select "Quick Scan" and only the quick scan. After the scan completes, it will show you a button that states "Show Results", all the infections will appear in a list marked in red. Now click the button that states "Remove Selected". Click on this and all infections will be deleted. Restart the computer normally and it should be clean. Now, there have been changes done to the network settings that are not letting you get online...we are going to fix that now. Open your browser window and to the right top of the screen look for the "Tools" button and click on it. Scroll down to "Internet Tools", now click on the "Connections" tab. Look to the bottom of that window and if anything in the lower part of the window is checked...uncheck it and hit apply. Anything that references "Proxy Server" should be unchecked. Click on OK, and check to see if you can get online. If you still have trouble, get back to me. Good Luck...ParrotHead

No software disk to load 1700 into Dell 6400 Inspiron laptop.

In Windows, how do I install my printer? Most new printers, especially USB printers, come with installer programs. If you have neither installation instructions nor an installation program, you can use one of the following procedures to install most printers:
USB printers (Windows 98, Me, 2000, and XP only)
  1. Make sure that the USB cable is unplugged from your computer and your printer. USB devices work differently from older devices and usually need to have the drivers installed before you connect the device.

  2. If you have an installation disk, insert it into the drive. If there is an installer provided, it should run or be executed here. Follow its instructions, and it should take care of installing your printer in a few moments.

  3. If you don't have an installation program, plug the USB cable into your computer and your printer. This should trigger the Add New Hardware Wizard.

  4. Click Next, and then select Search for the best driver for your device. Click Next.

  5. Uncheck all options except Specify a Location. Click Browse. Browse to the disk, CD, or directory where your printer drivers are located. Click OK, and then click Next twice. Note: You can download some drivers from the web. Consult the web site of your printer's manufacturer, or see Where can I find driver updates for my Windows computer?
  6. When all the files are copied, click Finish.

  7. Turn on your printer. Windows should detect the printer's presence and finish the installation. If the option to print a test page is offered, do so. This will confirm the installation. Click Finish.

Parallel port printers Windows 2000 and XP
  1. In Windows XP default view, from the Start menu, select Printers and Faxes, and then double-click Add Printer. In Windows XP Classic view, or in Windows 2000, from the Start menu, select Settings, then Printers, and then double-click Add Printer. This will start the Add Printer Wizard. Click Next.
  2. Select Local printer or Local printer attached to this computer. Click Next.

If you would rather use the driver disk that came with the printer, insert that disk and click Have Disk, and then browse to the driver disk and the proper folder. Click Open, then OK. Sometimes at this point, you will be asked if you print from MS-DOS programs. Most people can safely answer No here, but if you print from any DOS-based programs, answer Yes.
  5. Windows will offer a name for the printer that you may change if you like. If this is your only printer, or you wish to use this printer most of the time, select Yes to make this the default printer.

  6. You will be given the option to share this printer on the network. Unless you specifically want to do this, select Do not share this printer. Click Next.

  7. Make sure the printer is connected and turned on, and then answer Yes to print a test page. This will ensure that your printer is working. After the page has printed, click Finish. Your printer should be ready to use.

My Kodak Picture CD will not auto load

If your computer is operating with WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, or WINDOWS NT 4.0 Systems, this CD contains software that automatically launches when you insert the CD. Getting Started:
Insert your Picture CD disc and wait for the software to load (it could take as long as 5 minutes, depending on your machine configuration, CD drive speed, and the number of images on the Picture CD).
Note: This loading process installs some Picture CD program files onto your hard drive. The KODAK Picture CD installer walks you through the steps. The final step may be to restart your computer. If so, be sure to restart to complete the installation.
After your computer has rebooted:
  1. Eject the Picture CD and re-insert it into the CD drive.
    The program should launch automatically.
  2. Click the magazine cover to turn to the Contents Page.
  3. Follow the links to read and do more with your digital photos.
If nothing happens after waiting for the Auto Play, you may need to manually start the Auto Play program. (Auto Play is a program that starts up the CD installation process the first time you use the CD.)
To manually start Auto Play:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Device Manager tab.
  4. Click the CD-ROM drive icon; click the "+" to view the CD-ROM drive information.
  5. Double-click the CD-ROM driver icon.
  6. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. Check Auto insert notification and click OK.
Note: This enables all CDs to automatically run any Auto Play software.

Ilo won't turn on.....

Also check the following link for there FAQ: http://www.uiss.6x.to/ Good Luck
