Question about PC Desktops

Tips for a great answer:
A few things can go wrong when you are performing a computer upgrade of any kind, because during an upgrade, you remove and install parts, and it's easy for something to come loose, which may prevent the computer from starting.
Open the computer case, unscrew the video card and lift it out.
Make sure you move any release tabs before getting the video card out.
Put the video card back in place.
Check the nearby components, and make sure everything, especially the memory, is securely in place.
Close the cover and try to start the computer.
If it still doesn't start, replace the new card with the old card and check again.
If the computer starts with the old card, the new card is likely bad.
If it doesn't start with the old card, you may have shorted out the power supply and need to replace the power supply, but this is rare.
The hardware that you are trying to access is damaged or failing.
The device drivers for the hardware are faulty or incompatible.
There is a connection problem such as a bad cable
for internal hard drives
Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA
the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO THE HARD DRIVE make sure they have a
secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty if its a flat 40pin ide
this will be the first to fail
Make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty
or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs power and data to travel through every working device and continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error.
