SOURCE: i cannot start my Suffolk punch 43s petrol mower,

As far as I can tell, there are no downloads available. I eventually gave up and bought a copy from a mower museum. You will need to know the approximate age, as several diferrent engines have been fitted.

If you have the old red engine, the choke lever should be at right angles to the line of the carb IE pointing straight back.

The newer green engines are usually marked, but of not, remove the air filter and look into the carb throat. When the choke flap is CLOSED, the choke is ON IE cold start position.

As soon as the engie starts, move the choke to approx 50%, then fully open after 30 seconds or so.

If in good order, these engines are a 1-pull start. Fit a new plug, then spray WD-40 or similar into the OPEN carb thoat. If there is no sign of life at all, you have a coil failure (or possibly a points problem if it's ancient).

Suffolk punch lt300 lawn tractor. How can I remove the blades from cutting deck?

Impact wrench works best but you can also block the blades with a piece of wood such as a two-by-four and use a large wrench breaker bar

How do I get the blade off my suffolk pUNCH ELECTRIC 12MOWER

Some of those blades are hard to get off. I put vice grips on the blade to hold it against the frame and put my long extension on my socket and sometimes put a pipe on to give me more pressure.
Just don't put too much pressure on to break something.

I have a suffolk punch 14sk which starts runs and cuts excellently the only problem is that on starting the cutter blades revolve all the time and will not stop even on slow idle speed. What is the...

NO dont change the belt, chances are its just the cable needs adjusting, slacken the 10mm nut on the adjuster that goes into the casing on the left side of the machine ( think its the top cable that adjusts the cylinder) after the nut is slackened off turn the adjuster clockwise so its going into the casing, you can do this while engine s running. the cylinder should stop turning as you wind in the adjuster. I would also suggest that the cylinder is turning too easily and it will need adjusting by turning the adjuster screws either side of the cylinder. turn the adjuster screws clockwise one click each at a time until the cylinder just touches the bottom blade when you spinn the cylinder by hand( with the engine NOT running!!!!!)

Change suffolk punch mower14 from grass cutter to scarifier

Remove grass box support cradle. Unscrew 2 allen bolts (one each side - located in front of cutting cylinder). Remove mowe side casing (drive side). Pull out entire cutting cylinder assembly. Usually they slide out without issue, but sometimes, they will jam and need levering out. There's nothing holding it in except the 2 screws.

Insert the scarifier assembly and secure with the 2 bolts.

Job done

Please advise on where to puchase replacement parts for old Qualcast punch classic 30s lawn mowers

Hi howardandjan, You call it "old Qualcast punch" if it's called Qualcast punch it's not that old, it was originally called Suffolk punch (after the horse) and came in 14" and 17" cuts, the 30s (30cm approx 12") was originally called suffolk colt. when Qualcast took over just about all the british cylinder mowers Atco, suffolk, webb etc they started swapping names about but you should be able to get parts from any good mower shop try winchester garden machinery in hampshire always found them helpful
