First you should have checked the voltage and amperage on your friends charger. Sounds as if it was not correct for you computer. Pulsating sound often occurs when too much amperage is applied. Sometimes you can get lucky and just mess up the battery. Try removing battery and pluging in your power cable to see if you can atleast get your system running again. If not the result will not be one that you will like very much unless you were about to be replacing your laptop. Always make sure you read the labels on any replacement power cords.

Blinking laptop charger

Your laptop charger may be dying, do not use this kind of laptop anymore until you test your laptop using a good working laptop charger. If you don't have it, then you can buy it online ( is a good source), or you can go to local computer store to buy a good quality laptop charger.

My M11x Alienware Laptop beeps 6 times at start

No a good idea to use a Cord/charger until you verify the power specs, they must be the EXACT same power specs in DC volts and milliamps , you may have fried a component/components in your Mobo. This may help diagnose the issue:

There are two very common faults that often cause this.

One is a damaged cord on the charger.

The other is a damaged connector on the laptop.

You will need a volt/ohm meter to test the charger. If you don't have one perhaps a friend does?

If you think you may have use for one inexpensive models are available and are fine for simple jobs and occasional use.

The charger's output voltage will be listed on the charger body. Look for something like:

OUTPUT: +19V 2000mA

For your purposes all you need to know is, is the charger putting out the proper voltage and is it steady?

If the charger is working then it is very likely the connector on the laptop.

These are not difficult to fix if you have experience repairing laptops.

Most computer repair people do this all the time for a reasonable set fee.

Hope this helps

There are three possible parts of the computer which cause the problem.

1. ac adapter or charger
2. battery
3. motherboard

The charger is working fine which leaves the battery and the motherboard to be the possible reasons for that certain problem. What you need to do is to check which one is really the part that's causing the problem.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Remove the battery from the laptop.
2. Turn the computer by using the charger alone. If it turns on then, the battery needs to be replaced. If it doesn't then it's a motherboard problem which is a very complicated situation. You need to see a computer technician for a motherboard problem.

Battery will not charge.plugged in not charging

Does the computer start anyway, but it's just that the battery won't charge? If that's the case, it's probably a bad battery.

A procedure to do before assuming a bad battery is to (1) remove the battery, (2) disconnect the power supply from the computer, and (3) press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. This resets the logic circuits in the internal power handling section. If that doesn't help either, then the battery is probably bad.

If the computer isn't starting, however, it could be that the power supply has failed. Check the voltage output on the power supply.

Hope that's helpful.

I took out the battery from my mac lap top held the power button for 10 seconds, I put back the battery in the laptop. However my laptop still won't turn on. What should I do?

You gotta trouble shoot. Take the battery and charge it on a friends computer or go to the Apple store and have them test it. If the battery is good, then your next step is the charger. Do the same thing with it-take it to the Apple store and have them test it or test it on your friends laptop. If the charger is good then the next culprit is the computer. Put a working known good battery in the computer and see if it turns on. If no, take the battery out and just plug in a good working known charger and see if the computer turns on that way. If still nothing, then you have to take the computer in to the Apple dorks and pay their hefty fee and have them fix it.

Dell latitude 400 charging problem

Your english is actually above average!
For you to get the best solution to this problem, I'll suggest that you should just try and get a friend, or a technician that has a charger of the same type, i.e a Dell Laptop Charger, to test it with. Now, if it still doesnt work, then you can try and swap the Battery with a working one also. All these are just to clarify things for you and to teach you the easiest way of troubleshooting it yourself.
Then If the new charger charges it, it means you just have to get a new charger, and if the Battery swapping is the one that works, then you might have to get a new battery too.
At the same time also try this quick solution :
Remove the battery from the back of your laptop, and power the laptop without the battery inside. If it works this way, then just try and get a new battery instead.
Hope this helps you out!
