First you should have checked the voltage and amperage on your friends charger. Sounds as if it was not correct for you computer. Pulsating sound often occurs when too much amperage is applied. Sometimes you can get lucky and just mess up the battery. Try removing battery and pluging in your power cable to see if you can atleast get your system running again. If not the result will not be one that you will like very much unless you were about to be replacing your laptop. Always make sure you read the labels on any replacement power cords.

Acer Aspire 5315 charging circut fuse

So you have removed the battery from this laptop for at least 30secs - 1minute? Not really sure about a laptop fuse? Test your DC jack for continuity - with a volt meter - outside prong and inside stem. Those will be the first few steps to finding your issue.

Blinking laptop charger

Your laptop charger may be dying, do not use this kind of laptop anymore until you test your laptop using a good working laptop charger. If you don't have it, then you can buy it online (eBay.com is a good source), or you can go to local computer store to buy a good quality laptop charger.

I have a Gateway laptop, MX8739, that will not power on with or with battery. I have checked adapter/charger and it reads that it is working and receiving 19 V. I have tried to reset, by unplugging from...

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Battery will not charge.plugged in not charging

Does the computer start anyway, but it's just that the battery won't charge? If that's the case, it's probably a bad battery.

A procedure to do before assuming a bad battery is to (1) remove the battery, (2) disconnect the power supply from the computer, and (3) press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. This resets the logic circuits in the internal power handling section. If that doesn't help either, then the battery is probably bad.

If the computer isn't starting, however, it could be that the power supply has failed. Check the voltage output on the power supply.

Hope that's helpful.

My battery never worked so i used my charger to keep my window vista 32-bit computer alive but now the charger wont work it just flashed n turned off what does this mean..??

Find an electric/electronic geek-friend with a voltage/amperage multi-meter, and get him/her to test the output of the charger, i.e., 6V to 19V, 1A to 3A,
to see if the "actual" output matches the "rated" output printed on the charger's label.
If not, your charger needs to be replaced.
If it's OK, then take your computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting why the power isn't reaching the "guts" of the computer.

Dell latitude 400 charging problem

Your english is actually above average!
For you to get the best solution to this problem, I'll suggest that you should just try and get a friend, or a technician that has a charger of the same type, i.e a Dell Laptop Charger, to test it with. Now, if it still doesnt work, then you can try and swap the Battery with a working one also. All these are just to clarify things for you and to teach you the easiest way of troubleshooting it yourself.
Then If the new charger charges it, it means you just have to get a new charger, and if the Battery swapping is the one that works, then you might have to get a new battery too.
At the same time also try this quick solution :
Remove the battery from the back of your laptop, and power the laptop without the battery inside. If it works this way, then just try and get a new battery instead.
Hope this helps you out!
Goodluck
