I have navlink DVD GPS system (made by "joyous" in china) and it says navi not exist,i cant even get to setup so can any one help, all i can get to is DVD TV radio etc, when i press on navi it says navi not exist,i have tried resetting bit to no avail, i even left the battery disconnected overnight to drain the internal memory but still no access to the nav settings.
This took me weeks to solve because they dont give you a decent manual. It is necessary to have a good map on your sd card. You have to go into your map setup software and tell it which serial port and baud rate to use. otherwise it will display as you state.

You may need to replace the usb cable that you are using to connect this device to your computer.
There's just 4 steps on how to connect garmin navi to computer. 1. Connect the mini-USB end of your USB cable to the back of the Navi. 2.Turn on your PC and connect the standard USB end of your USB cable to the USB port on your personal computer 3.Power on the Navi and give the computer time to recognize the device. 4.Click
"Start," then "Computer." The Navi hard drive should be among
those listed under "Devices with removable storage." You can click on
the Navi's drive icon to access your Garmin device
By MS Active sync from computer delete file Mounted Volume/my
flash/sony/nav-u.exe (the folder SONY is hidden, you must set show
hidden files in your comuter first). And then replace old navi file by
exe file of total commander CE version ( download is free on site of
developer) .You must rename the totalcmd.exe to nav-u.exe. Now after
reboot is allowed everything, including executing any other navi
software like tomtom, igo, navigon and many other (multimedia players).
The oficial navi (old navigon) by sony is not so good in compare with
new navi soft. .. enjoy.
