SOURCE: Fade F to R not working on Sony CDXF7000

Hi, To my knowledge, this head unit (Sony CDXF7000) uses individual 52 watts amplifier (X 4) whose output to the speakers require that none of the speaker wires be grounded or crossed/shorted. Please check the speaker wiring with the use of an ohmmeter (or a multi tester) with all the speakers temporarily disconnected. Verify that none of the 8 wires reads 0 ohms to body/chassis ground or to any of the other wires. As you have checked the wires area: front left > + red & - white/black stripe; front right> + gray & - gray/black stripe; rear left > + green & - green/black stripe; rear right > + purple & - purple/black stripe. Rewire should it be necessary. If the wiring fully checks out, it may be that you have a fader component failure inside the unit (though honestly rare). You can also check if there is no bridging modifications done; converting your 4 amp-4 speakers original design to a bridged 4X52=2X100watt amp to 4 speakers paralleled to 2. Another area you can check/try is by varying the DSO settings - 1,2,3,off. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

How to wire PIONEER DEH-P66C0 AM/FM car sterio XN/UC 50x4 load impedance

Radios are pritty simple until you get into factory retainment and theft stuff.
You should have 11 wires; Red ( power or ingnition), yellow (power or ignition), black (ground or connect to frame.), And 4 sets of doubles (usually colored simular).
First find your power wires, most radios the power is a bigger wire, and should be wired to a hot 12v. Wire you ingnition wire and your ground. (Stop) now check to see if your ingnition and power is backwords, try programming some presets and see if they save, if not try swich in the ignition and power.
All that's left is the speakers, now tipi call there white, grey, purple and orange, but I have some radios that don't concur, so it's best to test one speaker at a time before soldering. You can do this by using the radio fade and balance. For example turn the fade all the way for word and balance all the way right and only the front right speaker should play. Repeat 4 more times and your done.

Cant access the fade controls. Rear speakers are not operable without it.

When the rear output setting is "rear s/p:SW", you cannot adjust the front rear spreaker balance. Go to the rear speaker output from function and select "rear sp/full".
