SOURCE: I need a manual for my 18 ga combination nailer/stapler kit

What you can do is go to the Sears.com website and under tools it will lead you to Sears Parts Direct and (bottom of page) when you get there there is a block for manuals type in the model number and you can view it online or get one. Hope this helps Dave

SOURCE: does the campbell hausfeld model

Sb504000 works just fine with pressure range from 60 to 120 psi depending on material. Any small compressor will work great. Using the gun at max pressure will shorten the life of the gun. Best practice is to set pressure to just under 100psi for most work and increase pressure when nailing hard wood. Using at max pressure will strain the driver and the lower part of gun (screws that hold nose to body). Some hard woods will bend an 18 gauge nail. Good luck with your gun and have fun with your projects.

Model 351184540 CRAFTSMAN COMBINATION NAILER STAPLER Parts

You can price parts and decide if it is worth it, is the gun old, used much etc. If you don't use it much HF sells inexpensive ones. If you use it more often buy a better name brand at HD, Amazon E bay.
I have a combo nailer/stapler and i only use it for staples. The combo will put a bite mark on your wood. I use a nailer that doesn't leave marks so cleanup before finishing is much easier.

What is the correct way to place the nails into the gun? This gun uses both cleats and staples. I am using cleats but it does not seem to be working. I may be putting the cleats in wrong.

If you have a Bostitch MIII FN it is only for cleats. Bostitch doesn't make a universal nailer that takes staples and cleats. The MIIIFN is the "floor nailer" and the Model MIIIFS is the "floor stapler"
Maybe check exactly what model you have and ensure you are not trying to put cleats into a stapler.
