Question about Golds Gym Power 390 Recumbent Bike

Open Question

Too hard to pedal. can tension be adjusted

I just purchased a Gold's Gym Cycle Trainer 390R and it is extremely difficult to move the pedals, even on the lightest setting. Almost impossible to move on the higher setting. Level one on this is comparable to level 7 on my old Gold's Gym spin cycle I have. I would really like to find a way to lower the overall tension so I can use the trainer programs. They are impossible to use as this unit currently is.

Gym, cross training and Personal trainer...Please help me to choose

A personal trainer will motivate you to work hard, train hard and gain the the look you want. If you are serious about hitting the gym and training hard to lose weight then you don't need a personal trainer. You just motivate your self into working hard. Personal trainers are mainly for advice and help for those people who find them selves to be lazy.
I recon you should go gym for about 2 month and work hard. If you don't feel satisfied then the second option is still there.
Thank you

I want to buy an elliptical trainer for our home gym. What features should I be looking for before purchasing one?

The following are some features you should be looking for before purchasing a machine for your home: the stride length of the pedals, smooth motion of pedals, the option of arm handles, adjustable incline and resistance. You may not want all of this in one machine; however these are some qualities you should be addressing.

Is there a way to adjust the PD-6401 pedal? I'm

There's only one screw on the pedal. THAT is the tension adjustment. One way tightens the release tension, the other way loosens it. Also spray some lube on the cleats and the moving pedal surface that touches the cleats.

How to use the Proform 515S EKG Elliptical?

To mount the elliptical trainer, firmly hold the handlebars or the T-handle and carefully step onto the pedal that is in the lowest position. Next, step onto the other pedal. Push the pedals until they begin to move with a continuous motion. Note: The pedal disks can turn in either direction. It is recommended that you turn the pedal disks in the direction shown below; however, to give variety to your exercise, you may choose to turn the pedal disks in the opposite direction.
To dismount the elliptical trainer, allow the pedals to come to a complete stop. CAUTION: The elliptical trainer does not have a free wheel; the pedals will continue to move until the flywheel stops. When the pedals are stationary, step off the highest pedal first. Then, step off the lowest pedal.
As you exercise, you can adjust the resistance of the pedals with the resistance knob on the console. To increase the resistance, turn the knob clockwise; to decrease the resistance, turn the knob counterclockwise.
