The loud noises came from the tv with a colors wheel design in it have to be replaced every few years, because the spinning of the colors wheel disc are spinning in very high speed in RPM to have it colors for the tv to operate correctly, the humming, loud motors noises and eventually the effect of the tv colors. The colors wheel disc are worn out and spinning hitting it axes motor, the colors wheel must be replaced to solved this problems.
The colors wheel is dead. That why,u hearing high pitched whining sound. The colors wheel is spinning off of is motor axis and grinding it sides walls, that where the high pitched whining sound came from.Hire a tv Tech. for the colors wheel changing, because it requiring to take out alots of the machanicals parts itself, before u can come to the colors wheel itself to change it.
It the colors wheel, the fan don't make that much loud of a noise. When the colors wheel spins off it axis it make very loud squizzing and buzzing noises.
It could be the color wheel in the TV that you are hearing. There is a color wheel that spins in order for you TV to display colors and if it is struggling to stay at the right speed, it could cause the sound that you are hearing.
The fans also make some sound as when they spin and will remain on for a few minutes after the TV is turned off in order to cool the TV.
The loud buzzing is usually due to the Color wheel being broken ir the bearings being bad.You can get replacement wheel at the following link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Actually yes, the thing is that the color wheel is also part opf the light engine system and if it's not working, it will prevent you to see an image, you will need to replace it and it's most probable to fix your issue, of course since it's a Samsunt Tv, you need to identify the type of color wheel that you have, it could either be one with a gold bearing or one with a silver bearing, just identify which one is the one you have, and you'll be goo to go
Hi, have you removed rear covers and verified it`s one of the fans ? Those sets are notorious for loud color wheels, we have replaced 2-3 fans but we`ve replaced 50 color wheels, light engine has to be pulled to replace cw so call and get an estimate first so you can verify which has failed but my moneys on the color wheel, good luck, video-tek
If you have verified the votages are there at the color wheel and its not spinning the color wheel is most likely defective. the sound you hear when spinning by hand is most likely the bearing but that shouldnt stop it from spinning. but as i said if the supply voltage is present but it still wont spin. the color wheel must be defective.
it is the colorwheel bearings going slowly due to excessive dust and heat. remove the lamp and push in the switch actuator on the lamp door frame. turn the projector on and see the colorwheel spin in the lamp housing window. does the noise happen when the wheel spins and stops when the wheel stops? let the switch actuator go. does the noise stop? it's the colorwheel (pn: 525-0146-00). you can get it through an infocus service center. try av solutions in ny. www.avsolutionsny.com
Check your DMD board fan. Make sure it is spinning. This fan is the #1 problem for this model not turning on. This fan keeps the DMD board cool while working and if the fan does not spin your TV will not turn on. You might need to replace it if it is not spinning. If the fan is spinning, then check the color wheel. If it is not spinning your DMD board is not working and should be replaced.
