Question about Computers & Internet
My Seagate Free Agent Classic external hard drive will not work. It flashes amber for a few seconds, but won't get recognized by my computer. It had been working for 6 months, and all of a sudden decided to quit on me. Everything is set up correctly and I have disabled smart USB management in the Device Manager of Vista. Please help me get my iTunes music and other files back!
I had the same problem, all you have to do is download manager software unzip it and install

Have you tried a different USB port? Some USB chipsets are prone to frying if you use the front accessible ports. Also, try the drive on another computer.
