Question about Dell PowerEdge T100 Server
There's a jumper on the system board you can toggle to take off the password feature... (see image)
1. Turn Off the Server and unplug the power source
2. Open the System
3. Located the PWRD_EN jumper and change the setting.

I am working on one of these now and yes, it should boot from DVDROM. Be aware that it is a notebook style drive and there are no onboard IDE or SATA controllers, so once the drive dies you're in for a wallet hit. Same goes for the floppy drive which is integrated with the DVDROM. Even worse, the presence of the broken floppy usually means a USB floppy drive won't help when loading windows drivers at install time.

usually this would mean the process is overheating or bad,tell me this do you hear beep codes 1 1 2 indicate processor failure.So reboot and pay attention to the beeps repost and i will try to help you further.
