SOURCE: washer will not drain

90% chance that is the pump is pumping water at all, there is blockage between the tub and the drain pump. If there is no water coming out of the drain line. either extremely clogged(odd) or pump motor is bad, and windings are not allowing rotation.

SOURCE: Slow fill on cold water/Fisher&Paykel GWL11

Assuming you have already done what you said you have done, now it is time to do some real troubleshooting.(Dont worry, if you have gone this far you'll be able to do what I'm going to tell you)

First take the lid off. To do this, open it, and lift up on one side, it should come right off. Now take the control panel cover off. There are two screws on the back side of the washer holding it on. You'll need to wiggle it a bit to get it off. Once the cover is off you should find a plastic bag with a "service" sheet in it. The service sheet explain how to put the machine into the "Test Mode". This is very easy to do and will allow you to check out all functions. One of the test, allows you to check the cold water inlet valve. Assuming your water pressure is good and you have indeed cleaned the screen filter going into the machine you will most likely find that the cold water valve is not opening all the way and will need to be replaced. If your handy with a phillips screwdriver you only have two more screws to take out and the valve assembly will come right out.
Don't think you can swap out the hot water valve with the cold water valve. Fisher Paykel, clever as they are made sure you can't do that. One is a proportional valve and the other is a digital valve. They both look identical but they are not!
If your going to do the repair yourself (you've come this far, why not see it through to conclusion), be sure when you call Fisher/Paykel to order the cold water inlet valve that you give them the serial number of your machine to be sure you get the correct part.
Good Luck!

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.

first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.

SOURCE: Our Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine is not

Emptied washer, tipped it on its side, detached drainage pipes underneath, and pulled out old fabric/lint/blockage with tweezers. Plugged in, switched on, all good.

My Fisher and Paykel GWL11 washer will not finish a cycle. It goes to the rinse and spin part and just sounds an alarm and will not do anything else or advance any further. What would the issue be?

It would be putting up a sequence of lights across the top.that is a fault code..I don't know if it's stopping when it's trying to drain the water or if it is in fact draining the water, all i can say is if its not draining even the first load of water then it's likely to be a blocked or jambed pump.code 37 should mean pump problem. When the machine is beeping, the lights on the top row must be read from right to left in binary code.eg 128,64,32,16,8,4,2,1 these are the binary numbers for each light across the top row.Add together only the ones that are on.that will be your fault code.

Fisher & Paykel GWL11 With fault code 56.

had this code come up on mine, couldn't figure out exactly what it was but when I did the diagnostics for the hot and cold valves and the drain valve the hot water water valve would humm but wouldn't do anything. For the time being I have been running mine on cold water only and it has been working fine. Hope this helps a little. Also, the service manual is located under the control panel it will you a lot.

Fisher paykel gwl10us wont fill

Both of you most likely are getting a "RPS Sensor Fault"
On a GWL10, when the motor rotor position sensor fails, it will act exactly like you describe. Many techs incorrectly replace the machine control or the water inlet valve(s). The RPS sensor is much cheaper. If you consult the tech sheet located under the control panel, you will see the fault code for RPS failure and I would bet the farm that the sequence of LEDs displayed when your washer faults out matches exactly with the RPS fault code.

The RPS sensor for GWL10 and GWL11 models is a part # 420296P and canbe purchased direct from Fisher Paykel Parts:
http://fisherpaykelparts.net/index.php?categoryid=111&productid=5

The procedure to replace it is a little involved but a handy person can do it. It would be best to consult the factory service manual and again, that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts direct here:
