There is a fuse inside the machine but if that were bad the entire unit would not come on. Check the reset in the back of the power head next to the height adjustment. If not, Check the voltage coming out of the hose if you are getting 120V+/- then the hose is fine(be sure when checking the voltage you have the power brush switch on) You can also check the continuity/voltage of the wand. The voltage should also read 120V +/-. If the reset didnt fix it then you more than likely have a bad hose or wand.

When I took apart my vacuum it was hard to fit, but after making sure all the dirt was gone, and made sure it was in the grooves before I screwed the screws in the power head it fit pretty well.

Stick vacuum

It sounds like your head is blocked. Remove the head from the vacuum. get a metal coat hanger, straighten it out and bend a small hook on one end. Insert the hook into the head from the vacuum end until it stops, revolve it 1 or 2 times and pull it back out. If there is debris on the end, keep doing it until no more debris. Shake the head upside down to remove more debris. If you can access the bottom of the pickup tube, blow air into it with a compressor until it blows clear. try the head again ( you may need to disassemble the head to get that blockage out - likely it is hair causing the blockage).
Hope this helps!!
