"na file" when trying to play music from my HTC vivid to car stereo

I just received a new car stereo that not only supports usb but is Android specific however, when connecting my vivid via USB, only about 1/3 of the music files are recognized by the standard music ap. Most of the files result in an "na file" error message. PLEASE NOTE: THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I USE MY USB CONNECTION AND THE STANDARD MUSIC AP. If connecting with an aux cable & 3rd party ap, all files are readable. 1. why is this happening? 2. can/how do I change my default music player ap. 3. why can't I get Pandora to work either (the standard music ap takes control of everything and won't let you use anything else) thanks.

Check to see if your music is kept on the phone memory or the removable memory card.

the music is on an external an card. 1300+ files wouldn't fit on the internal. ;)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Can I put my micro sd 16gd into this and play music through usb on car stereo?

To my knowledge, USB ports on smartphones are only used for transferring files to/from a PC. You'll need either a mini-phono (1/8") input on your car stereo and a male-male mini-phono adapter cord or play to a Bluetooth receiver that either transmits to your car's FM band or has an audio input to your car stereo. Make sure that the music files are indeed mp3 format. An iPod will play several different formats but most av head units only play mp3. A lot of the songs that are downloaded from iTunes are actually mp4

My HTC aria phone wont play music off my radio, when connected it says error 19?

HTC and other Android phones doesn't have the USB support for your HU. Only way to get signal from the phone to the HU is to use AUX 3mm cable from the phone to the aux port on the deck, assuming there is one. Other wise you will continue to get errors. USB is for Iphone and Ipod only!!!

How do i copy music from pc to my htc wildfire

Hi there!

Transferring music files or songs from your computer to your HTC Wildfire is very easy. Just connect your HTC using your USB cable and select "Mount as Disk Drive" on your phone. You can create a new folder inside your HTC with the songs and your Music App should automatically sync it.

Best regards!
