Question about SimpleTech SimpleDrive Pininfarina 320GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive - Blue
Do I just hook up the SimpleDrive to the new computer, install form the software from the original CD? Will I need to download new drivers? Do I use "Restore from Hard Drive" to select individual document or photo files archived from the old PC to transfer them from the SimpleDrive Backup to a folder on my Windows 7 PC?
Connect your simple drive to the computer with the usb and power lead if applicable.
Click start all programs accessories open windows explorer my computer you should see your drives C: usually your hard drive D: your cd dvd drive and your usb drive E: or F: click to open it from there you select the files right click on the file/s right click copy navigate back to the drive right click select paste or hold the mouse cursor the file/s drag them to your usb drive disc then drop them Hope this helps.

I feel the problem can be something else as well.
The message "Photo Gallery can't open this picture because it might have been deleted or is in a location that is not available" can be because the Photo Gallery program that you use to view pictures in your computer.
First, try this, right click on the picture and click on "Open With". This will give you a list of all programs.
Here, you can select "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" and place a check in the check box below that says "Always use this Program.." and click OK. See if this works.
I would also like to know if you are able to open other files on this drive except picture files.
Also, the document that you are trying to open, what's the file type for this document.
You can try one more thing that will help us to isolate the issue.
Please note the next step we are going to do is just a diagnostic step and we will revert back to the original settings after this step.
If not, then try the fixes provided by other friends above.
Even if it works after MSCONFIG, that will show that there is some other program/spyware creating this problem and in that case try uninstalling any recent programs you installed and Run the complete virus and spyware scan.
Please let know if you need any further help.

If you go into Computer Management and go to Storage > Disk Management. You'll see the partition there. Right click on it and assign it a drive letter. You will be able to access it from there.
