a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get 2 Free calls (no credit card required) and instant help on almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, appliances, handyman, and even pets).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have a similar problem with a 7200 which has starting shutting off on its own. First I discovered that if I turned the GPS receiver off (like I was using it indoors) it stayed on. After some more experimenting, it seems that if I just disable the WAAS/EGNOS function it also stays on. This reduces accuracy, but may be an acceptable work-around (certainly cheaper than several hundred $ repair bill).

There is no way to just "reset" the PIN. If you don't have the correct PIN, you must take the unit to the location at which the PIN was set. Your only other option is to return the unit to Garmin.

SOURCE: broken garmin screen
Like original poster, I've got a dent on my Garmin C320 screen - could see everything, but touch feature stopped working.
Just finished swapping the screen with the one from my old Dell Axim X3 PDA. Now GPS works again! It seems that older units were using industry-standard LCD that could be easily replaced. Not sure about newer Nuvi systems...
