How do I installa new hose to the mortorized brush head on my shark lift waway

Hi, it's Allie from Crucial Vacuum!

Replacing your Shark Floor Nozzle Hose is very easy. Start by unplugging your unit to avoid any safety hazards. The floor nozzle hose's side that attached to the floor base of your Navigator can easily be pulled away. The other side of the floor nozzle hose has two tabs that can be pushed in while pulling it away from the base.

When installing, connect the floor nozzle hose to the canister first by pressing both side tabs while placing it until it click in its place. Then connect the hose to the floor base.

Machine running hot. new bag but red flag indicator is fully closed at stsrt up. Runs but overheats and shuts off and red reset light comes on

you may have a blockage in either the hose, the telescopic wand or the power nozzle/floor attachment. The easiest way to tell, as you have a new bag in there is to disconnect the hose and start the machine. If the suction is good there, start to narrow it down. Take apart the hose from the telescopic wand, take the attachment off and look through the wand. Look in the connection on the attachment as well. If not there, look inside both ends of the hose, you may need a flashlight for this, and see if there is anything blocking there.

If the hose is blocked, you can try to unblock it by turning the machine on and inserting the handle into the machine where the hose would attach to the unit. Sometimes this reverse of suction is enough to dislodge whatever is in the hose.

Good luck

Cannot remove attachment from proteam super quarter vac

Greetings, The ProTeam backpacks us a 1.5" hose and attachments. The way that the floor tool is removed is by unscrewing the collar of the attachment. Simply turn counter clockwise on the the part of the attachment that is secured to the wand and doesn't rotate. This should loosen the floor attachment, and you may then pull it off. The other floor attachment can be fitted, and then screwed on by rotating the opposite way, clockwise which will secure the attachment to the wand. I really hope that this information was helpful to you. If you ever need parts or supplies for your ProTeam, please be sure to check out GoVacuum dot com. I have the Miele cat & dog S5000 vacuum. I have had it about 1 year and lately the suction doesn't seem as strong and the full bag indicater is always full. I have followed instructions in manual but...

Greetings,

I would say that you have a slight clog in the hose or in the power nozzle somewhere. The full bag indicator is just a guage that will indicate full when it feels like it's lost suction. Example: If you were to take the hose and cover it with your hand, you'll notice that bag full indicator will show full.

To check and see where the clog in the vacuum is, remove the wands and floor attachment so you just have the hose on the vacuum cleaner. With just the hose attached, turn the vacuum cleaner on. Does it still show a full bag? If yes, then remove the hose completely from the vacuum cleaner so it's just the canister part by itself and turn on the vacuum again. If the bag full indicator is now showing an empty bag, this means that you have a clog in your hose.

If the bag full indicator displayed an empty bag when you had the hose on the vacuum, but shows a full bag when you have the wands and floor tool attached, this means that you have a clog in the vacuum either in the wands, or the floor attachment.

For removing clogs from the hose, the quickest way is to just purchase a plumbers snake at your local hardware store, and run the snake through the hose until you find the clog. You may also take a high pressure hose and spray it down the hose until the clog is cleared, but if you use a water hose, MAKE SURE the hose is 100% dry before you use it again.

Also that bag full indicator can be adjusted if you are getting a lot of suction power and it still shows full.

I hope that these suggestions helped you diagnosis your Miele canister to figure out why the indicator showed full. If this helped you please rate my repair helpful.

Feel free to contact me if you need further assitance, I'm always happy to help.

Parts list for model: EP754 The plastic  hose connecter from hose to vac cracked i need new connector

Shark vacuums generally are not repairable - in this case, Shark doesn't sell just the part; ya gotta buy the entire power head. And it costs more than the vacuum did new.

Shark's are considered throw-aways; when they break they're done.

It'd REALLY be nice if Linens 'N Things hadda told me that BEFORE I bought the vacuum.

And by the way, LOTS of EP754s break in the same way yours did.

I have the dc 17 animal model and there are no instructions in how to use the attachments, how they connect and so on.I have to assume that this is not an uncommon question considering that the box was...

You can call the Dyson helpline for information on how to fit the attachments. Generally, you can fit them on the wand and the hose (wand - directly on top of the red piece of plastic, hose - take the wand off the back of the vac and press the red button where the hose connects to the wand - this will remove the wand and you can attach the tools to the hose). With a DC17 Animal you probably have a Mini Turbine Head (a tool with its own brushbar - greay with red bristles) - if you have a gray button on it this is probably making you ask how it attaches to your vac - this tool is actually compatible with many other Dyson models but in your case it just fits on top of the hose and/or wand - it doesn't click into anything. As long as the fit is tight/snug, you're good.

I can't figure out how to hook up hose attachment to dyson 07

You have a reversible wand on the DC07. You have to separate the wand from the hose first, then turn it around and reconnect it. Once that is done you will be able to use the attachments on the end of the wand. You can also connect your attachments to the hose.
To separate the wand:
1) Take the wand off the back of the machine
2) Place one hand on the Handle and one hand on the gray flexible hose.
3) Push the flexible hose down. You will see a long metal rod appearing. Push until the hose clicks into place at the bottom of the metal rod.
4) You'll see a half-moon shape button with a picture of a lock on the solid gray plastic part at the top of the hose - push it, this will separate the wand from the hose.
5) Turn the wand around
6) Push the purple wand cap with the holes in it back, it exposes a short dark gray pipe, about an inch in length
7) Connect the hose to the short pipe
8) Attach your tools to the top of the metal rod and have fun

No vaccum at the hose attachment, the main powerhead has vaccum

You may have a blockage somewhere. Take the U-Bend (next to the right-hand wheel if you stand behind the vacuum cleaner) off. It is attached to the vacuum with a rectangular-shaped clip - it's purple. It is the pipe that is attached under the long gray hose. After that take out the AI Valve (the pipe above the right-hand side wheel) that has two purple buttons to remove it. Take the wand off and look through it - you should see light coming through the other end even though the wand is not straight all the way. If you can't see light through the other end the blockage is in the wand. Stretch the hose out and make sure there are no dark spots inside - those would be blockages. If all else fails call the Dyson helpline, they'll help you.

Where do I find replacement parts to my SC-505?
Posted by deh127 on Jul 07, 2008
My dog ate thought the hose coming right from the steamer. I need to get a new hose and I never got the attachment that cleans the floor where can I get that? I only got the hose and then attachments that would clean a grill.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best place to get the added attachments for the Euro-Pro Shark SC-505 Handheld Steam Vacuum is to contact the Shark / Fantom factory manufacturer of which I will list below and this is a specialty vacuum and most local vacuum cleaner dealers do not have the parts but can order them for you if they are connected with Shark / Fantom. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

These are the other brands that use the same tech support line
Shark / Euro-Pro / Infinity / Bravetti / and Fantom
