Hello Mike, This is best done by a qualified camera shop, too many things to go wrong when working with the lens unit, even a small scratch can be very costly as these lens are coated and if not handled correctly can be ruined.
Best Regards, Russell

The camera will not turn off and the lens is not fully retracted

Hi,
from your question I understand there may be problems in the lens unit, in some cases totally open the lens unit fully re assemble it again, clean the sensors at side of the barrels, can override this snags.
the below picture is not the same, but similarly you take the cam sect out and reassemble it.

My Marey tankless water heater will not ignite for the shower, but will forthe faucets. Have changed batteries, cleaned the filter and had the showerhead cleaned. Local plumbers will not do...

Most on demand or tank-less units require a minimum flow rate before the unit will fire up, they designed them that way so small water leaks (drips etc.,) keeps the unit from going on needless;y. Try opening the shower hot water fully and see if it comes on, If it does, try closing it slowly to see where it shuts off. Make sure your shower head is clean and not blocked with calcium, which will restrict the water flow. You could also try changing the shower head to one that allows more gallons per hour flow rate. Also make sure the cold inlet and hot outlet valves on the unit are fully open and the diverter on the shower is fully open as well.

A little water got into my camera lens now it can't take photo in the properly inthe day it is all white, in the night its a little better but still not perfect

first thing if you got water in your camera, take out the battery, open the battery chamber, dry it with fan for a night or if you have silica gel, put in a lot of silica gel in a plastic bag with the camera inside it for a night, silica gel will absorb the water.

My c195 keeps sayin lens obstructed and lens wont go down

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens obstructed errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

My kodak c195 keeps saying lens obstructed and the lens won't go down

There is a tiny motor that extends and retracts the lens, sometimes it will jam because part of the gear breaks causing it to malfunction, I would imagine the cost to repair will be high

Dropped my camera into a river was submerged for about 3 sec , but it did not actually hit any thing , was in my hand all the time . I took out the card and battery , next day I turned it on it came on...

Hello

The best thing you could do after this would have been to submerge the camera in distilled water and then open it up and dry everything.

The problem is that since the river water conducts electricity , there has probably been a short ciruit in the camera when you switched it on. This could have damaged any number of components inside and it will probably cost (depending on what camera you own) upwards of $200 to have it fixed so it may not be worth your while.

The lens is also a hit or miss. If it's a fully mechanical lens with no electronic components , I would send it away to have it professionally opened and cleaned. If it's a automatic lens , this may cost considerably more as they will probably have to replace the driving motors and electronics. I would put a clean and repair at about $150-$250.

All and all , it may well not be worth it and you could try selling the camera on e-bay as damaged for when someone needs some parts. You should be able to get a few bucks for it but don't count on too much.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Automatic lens cover does not fully open

1. there's a problem inside of the camera especially the gear if the camera fell down or applying excessive force to the lens part. The gear was broken thats why it was not fully open and having weird noise inside.
2 if you went out to the beach or place a lot of dust.possible the sand or dust goes indide of the lens gear and cause of stuck up and not fully open the lens.sometimes becuase of this the gear was damage or broken and you need to bring to service center.

Water inside the lens (Canon EF-S 17-85mm F4.5-f5.6 lens)

if it is only fogged you can blow hot air on the lens while fully zoomed in and after the water has evaporated, zoom out to compress the moist air out. do this several times.

Shutter won't close all the way

The lens cover of PSA60 opens along with the move of the objective lens. Normally the camera will sound an error beep when the lens does not end to the end position -- the lens cover is also not fully opened. In reverse, the lens will be retracted when the camera is switched off.
The "shutter" (outside lens cover) might have something stuck inside the blades or other mechanical parts that prevents the lens cover fully closed. Try to blow with a clean air (no hot air - because it can damage the electronics or plastics).
Or maybe the blades are probably not flat that may create resistance on the surface. Try to flatten the blades by hands.
Or maybe the mechanical systems need to be calibrated (by Canon service center).
My suggestion, try to exchange/trade-in your PSA60 with the latest model at the Canon center, because I have done it last year (trade-in with PS S5IS).
