You are going to have to send your hard drive to a data recovery specialist. You can find several of them if you google data recovery. This is the one i recommend to most people

Hello

Have you tried accessing the hard drive on another computer?
Have you tried using a different USB cable?
Was the hard drive dropped or moved while it was plugged in?

Check the WD Site if you hard drive has warranty.

I hope this solves your problem and please reply if you need more help.

Crashed hard drive

Seagate File Recovery for Windows is one of the best programs I've used. I had an external drive that was totally invisible to Windows until I popped it with this stuff and was able to retrieve everything on the drive within minutes. The stuff costs $129 but is well worth it. You should download the free trial just to see if it will access your data after which you can decide if it's worth the purchase price to recover everything...

Is it possible to get pictures off crashed hard drive.

Dear

You can still recover your data. Just follow these instructions:

Connect that harddisk to another computer with Windows XP. Check if harddisk is detected on that computer. If yes then check that partitions are showing if yes then simply copy your data.
If partitions are not shown that you have to download software named Get Data Back / RxStudio

And run either of these software to recover your data.

Hope this will help you. May God help you.

Hard drive crash

if your HD cannot be detected anymore..then there would be 90% chance that your data's cannot be retrieve. however, if it is still functional as a secondary drive but the partition is damage..try using FileScanvenger to retrieve the data.
