Bmw 318t1 sport. cold start problem and cutting out.

I have a problem with this car, when it's cold mainly mornings, it just doesn't seem to fire and takes 4 or 5 attempts to start. Runs fine after about 3 minutes. Recently the car keeps cutting out without warning, no spluttering just dies. If I am in gear and the car is moving by keeping my foot on the accelerator it will kick back in. I have changed the cam
and crank sensors. Also fuel injection sensor, fuel pump, starter motor, fuel filters, battery, choke system but all to no avail, the car is still having the same problem. Any ideas please?
Many Thanks.

It's a 1999 and I don't think there's a distributor cap as such on it. I've changed plugs and leads. Not sure what the ecu is though could you please clarify - thanks.

Going to change the fuel injection relay next but is a guessing game at this stage as nothing is showing up on the diagnostic computer.

    Any other ideas please.

    Much appreciated.

I would try getting the ecu checked over and check the dizzy cap for cracks.

it looks like u have bad spark plugs, mainly when the car is cold .this noise seems to be backfire coming thru air fllter casing or the accessory belts. also check your engine oil quality-replace if necessary

1995 lincoln t c won't start in the morning when temp is below 55, but will start once the temp warms up into the upper 60's.

this could be a poor battery, that the cold temperatures affect its ability to function at colder temperatures.you don`t say if it doesn`t start (fire up) or it doesn`t start(turn over)either way have the battery load tested or if its over say 7 years replace.

Sorry, but it seems like you have bad valve stem seals. You should also get a compression check of your cylinders for volumetric efficiency to see if the piston rings are bad also.
