If it's flooding, it's NOT the drain pan. It's probably the water valve has gotten stuck in the open position. Hope this helps!

Leave it alone, it is totally correct. That is the radiator and it is supposed to get rid of heat through the radiator. You even have heaters in the sides of the fridge called mullon heaters.

The defrost is not working so the The evaporator coil in the inner section of freezer is got blocked by ice .

Before doing anything try manual defrost reset procedure: ----

First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check, if the problem returns again. If the same problem occurs then it's defrost problem. The defrost timer and the defrost thermostat and heater are not functioning properly and it has to be checked and replaced.

The heater is located on the evaporator coil and thermostat beside the evaporator coil and heater. defrost timer clicks to defrost the heater gets heated and it defrost the ice collected in the unit and thermostat sense the temperature. But if defrost timer is faulty then it will not go in defrost mode so the ice gets collected on the coil and go on collecting and this freezes the freezer section and refrigerator section does not function properly. To see how the timer looks see the fig below:--

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer. If this repeatedly happens with yours, you may can prevent it by taking a bare copper wire and wrap it around a fin near the heater and put the other end a few inches down the drain. The heat convection may prevent it from freezing.

Motor running, but freezer not freezing items.Second hand fridge was working from 10 Feb 2010 stopped freezing on the 19 Feb 2010 Gold Star GR 252 fds

First of all you have to check if the fan is working properly because this is the one responsible for "taking the cold out" from the evaporator and into the freezer

The bottom of the refrigerator and near compressor is where the condensate drains to. The condensate begins in freezer during defrost and collects in a collection tray behind rear wall of freezer and with a drain hole and pipe that feeds through the cabinet and down to drain pan where it is warmed by the compressor heat and returned to the air inside your home. The only way to really get a good look at pan is to pull the refrigerator away from wall and remove cover over the compressor are. I recommend unplugging first before placing hands inside. Thanks, Sea Breeze
