Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Nozzle is a small curved plastic pipe (about 2.5 inches long) that guides the water into the cup while dispensing. Over time it has become brittle and snapped off.

SOURCE: water dispenser hose broken
you would have to remove the door(and front kick panel) turn water & power supply off first. Unclip water lines and electrical connector on top of fridge. You will require food grade water pipe 6-8mm, this will slide thru the hole, have patients when doing this

SOURCE: mold in water dispenser tube
Your refrigerator has a filter system below the bottom and behind the kick plate. Two or three times you need to turn the water supply off to refrigerator and fill the old filter with clorox to kill the algae growing in the storage tank and after you finally get this out and purge the chlorine from system will you be able to use the ice or water to consume. I know this seams harsh but really there is very little else that can remove this without changing the whole water system. Once this is done change the filter regularly and this will help, click on link below and place your model number into the model search feature. This will give you pictures of the parts and there location. Let me know how this goes, Thanks, Sea Breeze

If the area that is broken is accessable all you need to do is pick up a quick connect coupler of the correct size for the damaged tube available at most hardware stores. To determine the tube outside diameter place a ruler across the surface of the tube and note the measurement. It is most likely 1/4" or 3/8" diameter.

I despise the copper water lines on refrigerators for exactly the reason you have mentioned. This is why my customers will not pull out the refrigerator to clean behind it and to clean the compressor area which in turn causes non cooling issues.
I have many times installed just the plastic water line seen on many part distributor websites.repairclinic.com
You now will be able to move your refrigerator in and out without the worry of crimping the line. If you can find a long enough Stainless braided line....even better.
Just ignore the Whirlpool instruction guide on the matter.
It should not be necessary to use teflon tape on compression fittings. The compression fitting is made to seal without the tape.
Using a reverse osmosis should not harm the copper line. If you have hard water this would have a tendency to harm the copper more than the osmosis filtering.
You can use a brass fitting but with the plastic line you would not need one.
Here is the link that will show you the line you can use. The copper line is not for the water but for the compressor.
