Sometimes when I want to take a photo, I'm trying to choose the menu options, the buttons don't work and the cam is being locked... It becomes unusable till I turn off the cam then I restart it. Can you tell me what to do please? Is there any troubleshooting method for that?

Sir/Mam The most often method when the device hangs or just it frozen, is to remove the battery out after a couple of seconds and then putting it back again. To reset your device just dial this code *2767*3855#, this will reset your phone automatically once rebooted. But sometimes the code may not always useful specially when your Samsung Galaxy Y is frozen and become unresponsive or in other sever hang problem like it just hangs on welcome screen logo. To fix it, just then again remove the battery out, then put it back again. Don't power it ON yet, just press and hold the Volume Up, Center button and Power button at the same time. A menu will then appear that let choose with an option. Just use the volume button to toggle and select the wipe data/factory reset, that will then reset your Galaxy Y to it's factory default settings.
Hello, That's the same camera I have! I can help you.
Follow this sequence to reset all the settings so that the language becomes English:
Turn cam on
Press the "menu" button.
Press right directional key (marked with the flash symbol)
Press down directional key to go to the bottommost entry of the menu (which is the reset all option)
Press the "set" key (in the middle of the directional keys)
Press the up directional key and then "set" to confirm.
There. you're done. Now you don't have to learn Chinese to use your cam!
EXTRA NOTE: BTW just in case this applies to you too; When I first got my cam, I had trouble finding the timer option to time the shutter (1-2-3 click!) It's called "drive mode" in this camera.
Solution 1 • Unlock focus area selector. • Auto-area AF selected for Custom Setting 2 (AFarea mode): choose another mode. • Press shutter-release button halfway to turn monitor o?¬? or activate exposure meter • Memory card is full, locked, or not inserted. • Flash is charging. • Camera is not in focus. • CPU lens with aperture ring attached without locking aperture at highest f/-number. • Non-CPU lens is attached: rotate camera mode dial to M. • Mode dial rotated to S after shutter speed of bulb selected in mode M: choose new shutter speed • P, S, A, and M modes: lower ?¬? ash. • Digital Vari-Program modes: turn ?¬? ash o?¬? Turn long exposure noise reduction o?¬? Turn long exposure noise reduction o?¬? Press multi selector up or down or rotate sub-command dial to choose photo information displayed Select All for Playback folder. Note that Current will automatically be selected when next photo is taken • Select On for Rotate tall. • Photo was taken with O?¬? selected for Auto image rotation. • Camera orientation was changed while shutter-release button was pressed in continuous shooting mode. • Camera was pointed up or down when photo was taken Use Nikon-approved card. • Card may be damaged. Contact retailer or Nikonauthorized service representative. • Delete unwanted ?¬ les or insert new memory car after removing and replacing the memory card and powering off then back on your cam, you may see how the system now registers your photos will having to click back and forth between AUTO and MAN. I posted very closely related troubleshooting steps to take in order to prevent your CAM from performing badly. Check your CAM batteries to ensure they are using only approved NIKON batteries as anything else will cause you lots of errors and potential problems. When you using the timer or remote options, remember these are controlled by battery as well, radio frequency, and radio wave lengths. When you press the button to take a photo, inspect the button, press firmly for a second and release. If your button is not performing the way it should, inspect it to see if any wear and tear is visible to you. Check free deprey around the button such as DUST, HAIR BUILDUP, and small particals that are hardly visible to the human eye. With very low velocity pressure air, blow around the shoot button as build up will cause the same error your experiencing. I SUSPECT THE NEWER CARD IS NOT COMPATIBLE AS THE OLDER CARD IS
By stating "the dryer does work" indicates it is likely an issue with programming.
What are the chances you have the menu lock-out option turned "on"...also referred to as "child lock".
You may quickly rule this out or confirm it is the problem indeed, by trying this.
1. Turn the machine off then on.
2. Press ENTER five times, then press P3five times. (This must be done within 15 seconds.)
3. “Delayed start” displays with “0” flashing in the lower right corner. Press the Right Arrowbutton to toggle the display to “3.”
**NOTE: Child-Safe Menu Button** Please note that when you set the child-safe Start button, the Menu button is automatically programmed to delay for three seconds before it becomes active. This prevents a child from accidentally changing the program settings. When you want to change a program, press the Menu button for three seconds to activate the menus. The Menu button will work normally (without the three-second delay) until you have completed your changes. If it is not pressed for two minutes, it will automatically revert back to the child-safe mode.
Let me know if this indeed solves the problem but either way please keep me posted.

You need to take the photos with the date option on, and it becomes a permanent part of the photo. You cant turn the option on and off dynamically. Use the cameras menu to turn the date on and you should be OK from here on in! Thanks!!!
