Toshiba m60-104 screen dark new screen new iverter

Have you tried an external monitor?

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If the display shows on the external monitor that proves your video card is ok and your lcd screen is the issue. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If is shows on the external monitor, then you would have to question if the new screen and lcd inverter is bad. Just because they are new don't mean they work. Are you sure you purchased the lcd screen and inverter that is for your model?

I have a 1cm verticle stripe on my Dell Studio 1737 ?

Your lcd screen is going bad. You can verify this by plugging an external monitor to your laptop. if the external monitor shows without the vertical stripe it means the video card is good but your old screen is bad. If the external monitor shows the stripe then it means the video card is bad.

White Screen usually means the screen is bad. Get ready to replace it. If you system seems like it booted up all the way but the screen is white, more than likely the screen is bad.

No display on screen and external display

What is your laptop brand and model? No display on either? Does the computer seem like it is up and running, but just no display? Did you reboot when you put the external monitor on the laptop? Maybe you need to hit the FN function key and the corresponding F1 thru F12 key that toggles the display. The correct key will have CRT/LCD on it or it might show the icon of a display. Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key to show the display.

If all fails, it sounds like your video card in the laptop is bad.

Top half of my monitor screen shows at the bottom

Try plugging an external monitor to your laptop and see how it displays on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old fat crt's as long as it has a vga cable that will connect to your laptops vga port.

If the display does not immediately show up, then you will have to hit the FN (Function key)+(F1 thru F12) to show the image. Press and Hold the FN key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key. The correct F1 thru F12 key will have either CRT/LCD written on it or it will have a display icon on it.

If the image displays correctly on your external monitor, then you will need to replace your lcd screen.

Spanner sign with 500,100 and 0

The spanner or wrench you are seeing indicates how many miles are remaining before your vehicle is supposed to have the oil changed. Normally this is about a 10,000 mile interval and may be reset after an oil change by following this procedure...

Do the following steps:
Move start switch to position "2".
Within the first 4 seconds after moving the start switch to position 2, press the reset button for the trip counter twice within one second. The display for the service request is activated for about 10 seconds.
Within these 10 seconds, move the start switch into position "0". The service request continues to be displayed.
Press the reset button for trip counter and keep it pressed.
Move the start switch into position "2".
Continue to hold the reset button for the trip counter pressed until the signal sounds and the new start distance appears in the display (it takes about 10 seconds).
