You should be able to see just below where the drum rests a pulley that is made to drive the belt. By carefully aligning the pully with the drum, the correct groove on the drum should be obvious.

How to put a cutting belt on a craftsman RER1000?

cutting or blade belts our not that bad if you follow these two things.Idler pullys that are flat ,the flat side of the belt goes against it. If the pully has a v in the pully ,the v side of the belt goes in the v most times you can figure it out as a lot of mowers out there and the decks are different

My alternator belt came off and cant figure out how to put back on i got it on all the pullys but theres still alot of slack

Sounds like it's not on the idler gear. Look for a diagram of the belt routing on a sticker under the hood. Basically the smooth side of the belt goes on the smooth pulleys and the grooved side of the belt goes on the grooved pulleys.

Cant figure out how to loosen AC belt, goes around

OK,

I would first determine where the bolts are for the ac compressor and loosen them until the belt slides off.

Or, I know this may sound goofy, but you can get a breaker bar and socket or a large wrench and turn the crankshaft while putting a large flat screwdriver in between the v-belt and one side of the v of the pulley, and TURRRRRN it slowly until the screwdriver wedged in there actually takes the belt off (with turning).

That's a trick to use, but inspect the belt for damage afterward, or replace the belt if it is damaged in the process, which it usually is not.

Hope that helps.

I have an old Toro proline 52 inch commercial walk behind 18hp kohler and I don't know how to put the transmission belt on right.

Simple rule. V of the belt goes in V pulleys
The back of the belt goes on flat or idler pulleys .
It may take several tries but I am sure you can figure it out.

Looking for owners manual

I have a manual for the Wizard 5HP tiller. The reverse belt basically makes a figure 8
The belt goes over the motor pulley and over the idler pulley then makes a twist in the middle and around the bottom pulley. This cause it to basically rotate the opposite direction from the rotation of the drive pulley

Brushes won't turn

Sounds like you have broken belt. I had the same thing happen, Got replacement belts, but can't figure out how to get the smaller belt back on. There two larger belts - one on each end of the brushes under the clear plastic covers. On the left side there a single silver metal gear, but nothing to hook up the other end of the small belt to drive the brushes. If you take yours apart let me know how to hook up the smaller belt.

Thanks,
David Wood

Vaccum cleaner needs belt put on and i have belt, but can't figure out where it goes except that it is over the rotator wheel from there i am lost and i have no manual

Wish you had given your model number because they are different. On some, the belt goes over the motor shaft, then over the brush roll. Some you have to remove he top cover to get to the motor shaft. Some go over the motor shaft, then over the bigger pully, but then there is a 2nd belt that goes over the small pulley, then over the brush roll. Hope this helps, if not, then give me the model number.
