Can i use Windows Outlook 10 to sync my Tungsten E2 contacts

Do you know if my Palm Tungsten/E2 Handheld can be configured to work with my Microsoft Outlook 10 to update my contacts? At one time I was able to do this using a previous version of Outlook, however, presently the only way I can synchronize my handheld contacts with my desktop is to add contacts via the desktop manually and Outlook does not kick in. Any thoughts?

My T5 will not synch my calendar in Outlook

Welcome to Fixya

Double check the Palm or palmOne program in Windows. Click Start then All Programs then Palm or palmOne. You should see an icon in there called Sync with Outlook or something similar. Click that icon and the Outlook conduits will replace those for Palm Desktop. Some conduits, like Media/Photos will continue to sync with Palm Desktop, but Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Memos will sync to Outlook.

Thank you for using Fixya!

I have a Tungsten E2 and I receive a message that my Handheld is only compatible up to Microsot Outlook 2002 and I have Microsot Outlook 2007. Do you have a patch or update for this?

Hello,

there is no patch or update for this. You will have to get Microsoft Outlook 2002 because Microsoft Outlook 2007 cannot work with your Tungsten E2

The Tungsten E2 has been programmed by the manufacturer. It is only when you go for a higher Tungsten Hand-held, that you will be able to use Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Take care.

I don't believe that the Palm desktop manager is compatible with Ipod. Unless you have your contacts associated with Microsoft Outlook, that should work.

How do I coordinate different user profiles on 2 pcs?

You will have to keep the profiles the same. In Palm Desktop, under Tools/Users, you will need to reset the name on both of the computers to match the name used on the PDA.

When you start syncing to two computers, the Windows conduit will start to complain. Just tell it that you know, and clean up the mess by yourself.

Which is only one of the reasons I don't use Outlook at home. Palm Desktop can remove the errors created by Outlook, but Outlook can't.
