SOURCE: windows xp professional sp3 screensaver does not work

right click on your desktop and when the menu pops down select properties.... in the window that pops up look for screensaver on one of the tabs... have a look at the settings and make sure it is turned on.

Your profile might be corrupted. You can try boot into safemode and see if you can log in from there. In order to boot into safemode, you have to press F8 button during startup. Then select boot with safemode, wait for a little splash screen of text to go away. you should be able to login from there.

If you can't login as yourself, try login as administrator account. Then create a new account.

Re-seat the sound card, or test with a different card if you can. Double check device manger with view hidden devices in safe mode.

Xp service pack 3 key


Hi,

There is no "key" for SP3, its just an update.

Just click on the start menu and perform a Windows/Microsoft Update to install SP3 and then perform another update to update SP3.

Some files can be missing, try to start your computer in SAFE-mode, if it works you can try again, othervise you have to repair you XP-version. Add me david.vk@live.se for more instructions.

It is a virus related to a security problem. Update to service pack 3 and dowwnload all updates as the first thing to do after installling windows, or an updated service pack 2..

Windows XP, the newest service pack for windows XP is SP3

Windows 2000, has SP1 SP2 SP3 SP4

There is no SP4 for XP.
