I changed the batteries and the screen was really really dark. So I knew by using the 2nd and arrow keys it would lighten up. I have it all the way on the lightest setting and it still is really really dark. I have to tip it half the time to be able to see the numbers! any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, The screen contrast of the TI83Plus/TI84Plus/TI84PLUS SE can be
adjusted to suit the user. Sometimes after the batterie have been
replaced the screen contrast is reset to the factory defaults. To adjust it to your liking.
Press the [2nd] key and release it.
Press and hold the Down Arrow key to lighten the screen or the UP arrow to darken it.
In your case, the screen is too dark, so in step 2 above you press and hold the Down arrow until the screen lightens enough. Hope it helps.
